The super leftover from nearly a year ago ended up being quite interesting indeed.

-Cam played a very good 3X. Notice that the nuts were screwing up on the 4 when it was 5x9xx (unless it was edited badly), but at that point the price was known and he thought it through. Unfortunately, we could not claim the 1/3 shot today. In general, although there was ugly -47, I thought this was one of the easier prices Mike has allowed.
-Cliff with one of its worst playings of the season for once, but of course it is always pretty forgiving.
-L7 featured in a car-cash 4/6 2nd half. Meh, I don't think L7 works great 4th.
-Grand actually being bailed out when it was tough to tell which would be over. One of the rarest oddities you can see on a show.

As a final note, god damn we couldn't escape the DOB bug still. Way too many this season.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Well, this was certainly an interesting one. I thought that 3X might show today but was still surprised when that Jaguar actually did, and even more surprised when we got as close to a win as we did (I figured there was no chance of it being won or it would have been moved up, but it was still nice to see it). For once, we had a contestant that was able to price the numbers very quickly and accurately. We've had a few lucky playings where strikes have held off for 15+ draws to the point where I feel we've used that up. We're going to need quicker playings like today to have a chance at winning it.

Rest of the show was interesting too. L7 4th? OLD Grand with a bailout (very strange - it wasn't that hard today, I don't feel). And for awhile I was in suspense that that long string of Cliff wins we had early in the season might not actually be a streak but that turned out not to be the case. And then another dumb DOB - at least these help control the budget for them? (and they need all the help they can get...) Still though, definitely an episode worth watching for the show that may have had the longest delay ever between tape and air.

Timings:
Squeeze Play (3.5) - 2:57
3 Strikes (7) - 6:26
Cliff Hangers (4.5) - 4:35
Lucky $even (4.5) - 3:58
One Wrong Price (3.5) - 3:12
Grand Game (5) - 4:26
Total (28): 26:34

Now I know that Cam unfortunately loss on 3X, but when Drew made him touch the Jaguar that he lost, that was something I didn't get at first. Then someone told me that he made him did that................................For luck?

If anything, that was bad luck, seeing that he over on his SC...........Rubbing a car that a contestant didn't won on Strikes didn't work for Cam and it didn't work for Therese a year later, even though he did a okay job on it, despite his loss.

L7 wasn't any better, either, and it seems a bit off having those two car games in the lineup like that. If Golden Road and Pocket Change were played instead, then maybe................

Squeeze, OWP, and Cliffy were won and a seldom-seen Grand bailout wasn't too bad, So it was a tad above-average.

I said nothing about luck in the Showcase. I said luck in the Showcase Showdown, which he (and Therese, and that was 2 months ago, not a year) got. It just didn't work out for either one in the Showcase.

I think you mean that it was aired 2 months ago..........This was taped 9 months ago, before Gwendolyn had her second child and she still had the bump.

1. Why did it take nearly a year to air this episode?
2. Who bails out on Grand Game?
3. What's up with the huge cut when Drew read the showcase 1 price?

5-digit Squeeze Play, Cliff Hangers, One Wrong Price:  Nice wins! :-)
3 Strikes:  Heartbreaking loss!
Lucky Seven:  Evil, IMO.
Grand Game:  A rarity.
SCSD#2:  2 Bonus Spins & nothing won on either one of them - that sucked.
Showcase:  How the heck was Showcase 1 only $22,263!? ???

Pretty good overall, IMHO.

1. Why did it take nearly a year to air this episode?
There were two factors in this case:

1. The 6060s were booted to early January in favor of Rob's premiere week 6170s getting moved up (the two weeks essentially switched). But then cue more switching, and the 6060s eventually got bumped to early February.
2. 6065 was set for February 8... right before the Grammies! So 6152K, a "filler" from New Year's week, which had el Grammies, aired instead.

6065 then never had a hole until the end of the regular season. (They really should have aired it during one of those freaky reruns... are we ever going to get an explanation for those...)

If 3X was won (and it was pretty close for this era), I guarantee one of 6061-64 would have been booted instead. (This ended up being a very strong production week, actually.)
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

I misread some information here and thought today was a rerun with tomorrow & Thursday being new shows.  To avoid this, am I correct in saying that tomorrow & Thursday will be the last two new episodes until the July 4th episode?  Additionally, July 4 is the only new episode in July.  Is this correct?

I really missed Bob today when it came to the presentation of the Jaguar. I'm sure he would have said something like "Feast your eyes on THAT!" and pointed, and I would have done the same. Drew's typical "What do we got for him?" sounded just ridiculous before the $56K+ car was revealed.

And talk about even more lazy hosting: Drew again feel back on his usual "Where'ya from?" when it was printed on Cam's shirt!! :-x   He could have at least read his shirt and asked "Are you from (that town in) Maine?"

Roger, when was the last time someone actually *took* the bailout in Grand Game?

The 3 Strikes was great event if it ended up as a loss, at least it was close. $56k has to be the largest non-Ferrari prize they've had here in quite a while.

Cliffy had no business being won with a $5 opening bid, but it was apparently in budget mode today.

Roger, when was the last time someone actually *took* the bailout in Grand Game?

Back in Season 36, on July 11, 2008's show.

I had no idea that a first-run show was today, and that it was taped almost one year ago.  I wonder how many regular viewers were confused to see Grand Game's old displays show up after getting used to the new ones.

There is also a leftover this Friday, otherwise, correct.

August expected first-run dates: 14th, 16th, 20th, 29th.
