The first half-hour was OK. I was glad to see Bonus actually did return quickly after its debut with the new set. OWP and Bonus were blatantly easy, maybe a bit too much so, while L7 had two 9s. :/

Then it all went to hell again... so frustrating!

-Absolutely Holey should have been played today with a GP/car slotting in. This lineup was SHORT, 26.5. Hole makes it 28 and a decent-good lineup. Hole ended up going from 6231 to 6341, it would have fit right into 6/5 instead of 11. Stack could have used the 7 week break instead of 3/4 as well (626x, 633x). It's a god damn 16k Fiat. Discouraging and disgusting. Although I will say the Allegra D shouldn't be tricky enough that a supplement is being guessed for 6.47 compared to it, but when you have the random high Gorton's and that soap again, it's all a lost cause anyways. That was at least the best shot in the dark guess I've seen on a 0/3 playing, heh.
-I'm looking at this from acing T2 with the right prices before any choices today, but keeping the Marc Jacobs crap? Very poor choice.
-...Were these episodes delayed because they had DOBs? Because looking at the DOB dates this season, was it really a big deal to avoid a DOB every week for 7-8 weeks in a row? And if so, shameful for letting DOBs take away Goldy, new Bonus, and a T2 (and maybe more on September 11th) from the regular rotation. I don't see any risk of too many back-to-backs anywhere, but it certainly has been an epidemic this season.
-As for the DOB itself, Margaret just failed (seen too much of that), but Ellen at least had a great bid. Needed to switch those endings on the bids today.

Somewhat below average today because of Mike's Favorite Game. Bonus, T2 and a good SC results can't really make up for that.

EDIT: And to clarify, Hole isn't coming on 6301, trust me on that one.

EDIT2: You know what's also lazy? Having Stack-T2 end two shows in a row that they show up, this one and 6332. Adam, do better.

Because it was a make-good episode, I caved in saw this one too. To the episode itself, it was decent. The line-up was fine, with some good games played. I was thrilled to see my favorite pricing game "Bonus Game" get played today. That was also a pretty lucky win right there. "One Wrong Price" was too easy today. The car games were their impossible selves today, "Lucky $even" and "Stack the Deck" were unwinnable ($16.99 product?!). Good to see "Take Two" again, but it was respectfully hard today. To be honest, "Side by Side" is better than "Double Prices", so I don't mind seeing that getting 30+ playings. One more thing, can we please stop the DOB's now? They're getting out of hand. Aside from that, not a bad now. Just a decent one.
If it's not broke, don't fix it.

It appears these last four episodes of the season are throwaways, save for a few moments. I really thought Ellen had her Showcase won- are we sure those kitchen appliances didn't come from The Dump?

That was probably the cheapo $3097 kitchen which does exist along with a ~4k one, 5797 one, 6697 one

It was no surprise it was the cheapest one on a car SC.

There were a couple of funny moments during the contestants' row pans that happen right after an item up for bids is announced, which is unusual, since those are usually really uninteresting.  After the fourth item up for bids was announced, all of the contestants seemed completely lost, all of them looking around, trying to find where the item up for bids actually was.  And after the sixth item up for bids was announced, Gretel was still too busy still being excited for being called to come on down, and not really paying any attention to anything (and oddly enough, she still had the closest bid :oldlol:).  They were small moments, but still pretty funny.

I know that Mike didn't want any cars to be won on this episode (seeing that it is in his nature), but don't you think that putting Stack in that lineup was a little redundant, considering how he set up L7? That's one game that has one horrible track record, as of late. Also, Veronica really stepped on Manuela's toes when she wanted to put the numbers on the slot instead of Manuela. While as far-fetched as it sounds, was this Veronica's way of trying to get a modeling job if the rumors of Manuela getting the boot are true (I still think that Danielle is just a add-on)?

OWP, Side, and Bonus were just "gimmes".

Plus, AGAIN with these cheap and boring Showcases?!! That's the 3rd D.O.B. so far now.

It's funny that we call these leftover shows "make-goods", seeing that nothing "good" has come out of them. Not looking forward to the last one next month..............

A totally frustrating show, for the most part. Stack the Deck was a great example of how I wish Drew would control things more. Let the model do her job and DON'T prolong the agony by letting the contestant do it that way, especially when it's fairly obvious the game will be lost. I was also frustrated he didn't do anything with Margaret's 35 year fandom. As for the car setups, same old same old - tough to watch as usual. I agree with the DOB theory as to why these got delayed - that's the only thing I can come up with. Which is so incredibly dumb to me - they don't ruin people's enjoyment of a show as much as people seem to think they do. Not sure how that first showcase was overbid anyway - that seemed like it was worth about $8,000, not 22 :)

Timings:
Lucky $even (4.5) - 3:32
One Wrong Price (3.5) - 3:48
Bonus Game (5) - 4:47
Side By Side (3.5) - 3:20
Stack The Deck (5.5) - 6:30
Take Two (4.5) - 4:30
Total (26.5): 26:27

I think the winnings might have creeped over $30k today, actually (rough napkin calculations has $30,381).

Lucky 7: Luis almost had it with the first 9, but 2 9s is two too many.

Good on Ellen for hitting the tossup in Bonus Game, and I do appreciate being able to explain what a forced win looks like ($49 for a potato masher?)

Retire The Mess: Yet another unprintable reaction, yet another bad set of GPs and a nowhere-near pricing.

I might have paid more love to Margaret for being a LFaT (35 years definitely qualifies).

Does 21 DOBs (aired) represent karma for the 10 DSWs in S39?

"Stack the Deck" [was] unwinnable ($16.99 product?!)

Please explain to me how this complaint is anything approaching sensible when the other item was over $10 cheaper.

Using expensive products like that in this game is just ridiculous, that's just asking for trouble there.

That's silly.  You can't judge the difficulty of a pair of products based on one of their prices.
