A pretty good show. I had a good feeling about Bee as soon as he got the exacta.

This was a pretty good show on the whole.

-Cover: It's a shame the nuts actually said -1, then recognized -31 looks better than -61, and it was still lost. I would just say bad luck Kevin listened then didn't. Maybe Cover will do better despite setups like last two both lowest next season? (Probably a pipe dream.)
-Bargain: Cheapo Seattle, surprised me.
-NoT: Standard
-Side: Standard
-Bee: What a great playing! He seemed committed to go anyways, but we saw just this season too someone bail on AAA / 5 cards and the next were RC, if I recall right. The difference for me this time was two extremes, 30/2, probably increased the odds slightly more knowing Buck's tendencies. It paid off very well. Also, props to acing a dinky heart pan right away and avoiding the shredder.
-Spree: Disappointing loss... it looked like the nuts were insisting on the shoes, but you just have to know there the bike isn't going to be that cheap. Would have been really crushing if we were 5/5 though.
-SCs: More bad luck to finish up the season, because besides Rome (which is always at least 9), either of those have been sexed up before (I'm talking 15k+) and each definitely are a minimum of 9, so at least 27. Why neither of them were is questionable, honestly.

Still upset they moved 3 normal episodes this far out because of DOBs.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

So the season was really over after 7/4. At least this episode had four games won, including a car game plus a $1K win in the second SCSD. Also, I have to give credit to the audience for trying to steer Kevin to the right price in Cover-up.

What makes the season "really over" after 7/4? Because of 4 straight DOBs to end the airdate schedule (which was completely NOT by coincidence)?

I think this is about as good as we gonna get until S42.......

THE BAD NEWS:

C-U: The one time where Kevin should've listened to the nuts.

Shopping Spree: Those were some cheap shoes. Tough break for Philip.

Showcases (in general): Sucks for Philip and Priscilla.........However, the FRATs seemed a tad boring IMHO.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Spelling Bee: Nice job by Daniel!

NoT: Excellent win from Darla!

Bargain Game: That was a unusual setup there because I assumed that Seattle was the better bargain. At least Priscilla won it.

Side by Side: Easy one by Kristen!

Bottom Line: I did find it both a little odd and coincidental that after 7/4 we would see 4 DOBs (including The Back To School show). But out of the 4, this one was pretty decent and at least a car was won.

I didn't see the episode, so what was the "then" year in Now or Then?
It was the year 2000.

Well, another expected DOB (they really need to stop being so silly about moving those around - we don't care, nor does the average viewer). We especially don't care today because that was actually a pretty solid episode. Both car playings were interesting. Was nice to see a rare Bee SP exacta and a rare 30 pick. Was a bit more painful to see the entire audience actually shout the right answer (they usually do the opposite!) in Cover when it gets down to 1 number and we just had to have a rebel today, blah. I'm really glad Spree was lost too because that would have been a painful way to blow perfection.

I'm impressed they actually managed to have the Priceless Giveaway up and running for today's OB3.

Timings:
Cover Up (5) - 4:54
Bargain Game (3.5) - 3:33
Now...or Then (5) - 4:39
Side By Side (3.5) - 2:46
Spelling Bee (6) - 5:23
Shopping Spree (4.5) - 4:10
Total (27.5): 25:25

I'm a bit late viewing this episode. I tried to watch on the CBS Live Stream, but it wouldn't cooperate for some reason. But, I've now gotten done watching it, and I have to admit, it was actually a good episode for a make good episode. It was a nice lineup, some of the games they played were good ones. It was nice to see an episode with "Cover-Up" still using its false price, at the time. "Bargain Game" was a bit tricky, but the contestant thankfully pulled out a win. I feel like I haven't seen an exacta on "Now...or Then" for awhile, but maybe that's because I haven't watched the show in awhile. "Spelling Bee" was definitely the best part of the show. Nailing that first SP on the nose was incredible, as well as finding one of the CAR cards. "Shopping Spree" probably shouldn't have been lost, or at least not that way. Overall, this was a good episode, as it being the last show of not only for S41, but my last episode for good too.
If it's not broke, don't fix it.

This was a pretty good episode. Some interesting things I noticed during it:

- I liked the slightly revamped cue they used for the car in Cover Up
- That was an interesting angle of Contestant's Row before the fourth item up for bids
- I don't remember seeing three trips presented in front of a big door before - usually, they're all inside one door
- They showed the maid service, groceries, and gas for a year all on the same monitor, rather than separate ones as they usually do
- Can't remember which item up for bids, but the camera kind of quickly zoomed into Drew's face
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

A Big Rich Fields Drew Carey And Jeff Davis Fan For Ever From Kirsten

Rich Fields Thanks Kirsten. I pick out and supply all of my own clothing. That light gray suit is hard to pair with shirts and ties... but I think the lavender shirt and purple patterned tie pulled it all together.

My Favorite Announcers On The Price Is Right Are Johnny Olson Rod Roddy Rich Fields Jeff Davis.

I Met And Took Two Pictures With Jeff Davis On May 24, 2012 He Is So Nice And Kind In Person.

Rich Fields said this about Drew Carey will always be the first to defend Drew (Carey). He's one of the most genuine, down to earth people in Hollywood that I've ever met. He was the first to come to me and tell me that the show was going in a different direction. He assured me it was not his decision to let me go and I believe him. No one else was open and honest about it, but Drew was. We've continued working together on different projects and we stay in regular touch. We'll be good friends well into the future.
