I love this new thing during the credits where now they're giving proper credit to any image they use which is not theirs.

Oh, what an episode for me to miss today! This was great! The first great episode of the season. So nice to see it come so soon.

Drew hosted well, but was just there to me today. He didn't stand out as much as he usually does, but his Race Game and Ten Chances were great.

Speaking of Race Game, boy was that maligned. They handed her the win. The prices were to be placed in the same order she was given them, from least to greatest. That was definitely one of the easier Race Games if you thought about it. The fact that she literally stopped in the middle of the game and then repeated her first guess (when she only guessed two other times), really shows that her mind was flustered.

Speaking of Ten Chances, that was a great segment. To hear pretty much the ENTIRE audience shout out each number to her and for their guesses to be correct and not errant like they usually are (especially in this game), was the highlight of the show.

Anna was such a nice and sincere contestant. It was wonderful to see here not only win here pricing game, but to win both showcases. An excellent end to an excellent show that could've easily gone 6/6 and definitely should've gone 5/6. This was the note to start the season out on and it's a shame these events didn't transpire on Monday.

This was a very good show. As CJB pointed out, Drew was very, shall we say Barkerish, in his hosting today. Not only that, but, the way the show flowed from segment to segment and the way the games were set-up felt very much like the Barker years.

I'll at least agree with Drew seeming more like Bob today with his throws to George to announce the name of the next contestant. Drew actually mixed his comments up during today's show, a far cry from he would say something like "Where's the next contestant?" over and over to Rich when it seemed to me that Rich was really hoping to say something besides "On their way Drew."

10 Chances! Yay! One of my favorite games. Getting the price of the game system correct so early definitely helped out the contestant, considering the choice of digits for the SUV. I must say that the gameplay seemed highly edited and choppy, including the camera work, which lessened my enjoyment.

I wish Drew would say something like "You win BOTH showcases!" like Bob did, or something similar, instead of today's "Anna won a double showcase." "Double showcase." Bob's phrasing and emphasis made such occasions feel more exciting, and it was just more accurate.

It's a shame that a DSW got bogged down by a confused contestant. What in the world happen there? And yes, I agree that "BOTH showcases" is streets ahead of "double showcase". Yikes.

Despite no turntable or grocery games, I thought this lineup worked well today.  Having car games first and last is a tough thing to pull off without the middle feeling sluggish, but both 1/2 Off and Race Game provided that length that is needed in a lineup like this.

I hope today doesn't turn Mike away from Dice again.  I know it is tough to set up for a loss, but to only get 10 playings last season is low.

The automatic sound effects seem off, and 10 Chances was edited to death.

Nice to see the random cash backfire and provide us with a DSW.

Kudos to the Ten Chances player! The puzzle was played properly. Start with the highest plausable guess that ends with zero and then use decending combinations until you win. Perfect.

Let me say that this show was one of the best I've seen in a while (well, it's one of the first shows I've seen in a while, with summer reruns).  The last two shows really weren't that great, but this show was like what we had towards the end of last season.  This episode felt like the good days.  Great wins, loyal friends and true, someone using the 0 rule in 10 Chances, great contestants, fair game set-ups, and Drew was on it today!  I hope we get more episodes like this one.  Two thumbs way up!

Dice Game, Dice Game being won, Ten Chances, Ten Chances being played awesomely by the entire studio, a double showcase win...WOW was this fantastic show!

I love Adam's new 1/2 Off reveal.  I do not love him shooting Ten Chances the way Bart shot it.

Okay, this show was flat out amazing.

First, we had Dice Game, won with three really lucky rolls and one lucky-enough roll. Always a good way to start the game.

Even Drew noticed the repeated arrangement on Race Game. She just cracked under pressure, I guess.

10 Chances was just beautiful. Not a single Zero Rule violation meant Trimona (with the help of the entire audience, who seemed to have all locked on to the Zero Rule, save for maybe a few unheard dissidents) could systematically work out the prices, especially that of the SUV. Probably the most beautifully-played 10C game I've seen in recent seasons.

And then a DSW to finish things off! Now that is a great episode.

Textbook playing of Ten Chances.

Many wins on the show on top of the first DSW of the season. Great episode all around.

Drew hosted well, but was just there to me today.

And yet he chose to hang a lampshade on the only two goofs of the whole show, the Race Game fiasco and the misunderstood DSW.  It just boggles the mind sometimes.  :-?

Wednesday's episode comes a lot closer to the TPiR that I used to enjoy watching.  I hope the rest of the season goes more in this direction and not in the direction of the lackluster premiere.
