It was good of Drew to specify that the Allegra was only a 5-count box. Contestants can't always tell that from far away, and few think of going up for a closer look, so in cases like this where the price depends on the specifics of what's inside, I think it's good to have the host remind the contestant of that information.
All the same, it shouldn't be Drew's responsibility to have to mention the quantity, that should have been in George's copy...

It was mentioned in the copy, Drew was just reiterating it

I thought there was a strict "Audience must remain dead silent" rule in force for Clock Game, with the penalty for breaking that rule being an automatic ejection from Studio 33.
Not exactly. At least at the beginning, the audience could shout out anything in Bullseye, Clock Game, and Double Bullseye so long as it was not a number ("Audience, do not shout out the price or any number in the price."). The fourth playing of Clock Game (September 18, 1972; #0031D) had the audience shouting "higher" and "lower" with Bob, so there is a bit of precedent in this regard.

This said, they eventually began using a cue card with “SHHH!!” in large red letters that would be held up during the bidding portions of Clock Game. The wording in the FAQ suggests that talking period is no longer allowed.

[W]hat was up with the weird edit at the end? There should not be crowd noise during Clock Game!
...Although based on precedent with this regime and its editing practices, this may have been to mask an edit.

The above is my opinion and mine alone.

To answer your questions: yes, I am a guy and yes, I have a face. (I also have the occasional spurt of weirdness.)

People are tired of the f**kery and drama, but if we'd actually talk to each other sometimes instead of a whole bunch of private conversations with other people, it'd go a long way to perhaps fixing the problems most seem to see in the site.

Having seen Clock Game in person a few years back--and as someone who's dabbled in video editing--I'm simply going to say that this particular playing featured one of the worst edits I have ever seen or heard.  The canned crowd noise at the end seemed very confusing to me and almost lackadaisical in nature.  As for the rest of the show itself, having Plinko slotted in the six-hole to try and snap a "winless" show was very predictable--almost as if they wanted the contestant to not hit the middle slot.  It just...well, it just boggles the mind.
I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for your love, affection and loyalty to me, drew, the models and.... The Price is Right....thank you for being such a "Loyal Friend & True". -Rich Fields (in an e-mail sent to me on 3/17/2010)

I support The Price is Right...even if nobody I know likes Drew Carey.

I'm a day late in getting my thoughts out here, so I'll make this brief: Plinko pretty much saved the show. Up to that point, the COMBINED winnings from the other five PGs was less than the first IUFB. Debate the win/loss/partial-win verdict for the game all you want, but a $21,100 win was just what the doctor ordered, on par with a car win.

Also, glad to see Drew call a stop in Clock Game, but he did so way too late. When Eric made his bid of "8...430" - that should've been at least a warning sign that the nerves were getting to him. I won't say that the extra 5-6 bids killed enough time to cost him the win, but given that he was down to a $10 range on the bicycle, it remains a distinct possibility. Also, I too want to know where the "SHHHH!" staffer was during that last run of bids - that was entirely too much chatter.

IF someone gets at least two chips into the $10,000 slot, can it be said they beat the Plinko show?
