Well, that was a great Lucky $even win... and that's it.

I think Gas Money would have eventually tripped up most contestants, if not at the start, then when it came down to $18K vs. $17K. Still, I would have hoped she had eliminated the high prices first, since the Kia Soul is a bit more well-recognized as a cheaper car...

And another painful Check Game loss. Still, good to see that game.

It looks as if no one else caught this, but there was an explosion of glass all over the turntable as Check Game came around today, and the border of the turntable shattered one of the light bulbs on the big green "doorframe". I'm surprised that took that long to happen.

That is a good eye. I see a missing bulb at exactly the same height as the extended top part of Check Game's wooden frame, so that's undoubtedly what broke the bulb. Interesting that in the screen grab, you can see a white wedge keeping the game from rolling anywhere. I wonder if that's an issue with the new non-carpeted floor. I wouldn't have expected it to happen with big, heavy Check Game.

But you're wrong about the bulbs never being broken before -- we had to stop tape of course (so you never saw it on-air), but a few years ago, Bullseye wasn't perfectly centered on the turntable and the round side of the board took out two or three bulbs.

(In watching Check Game online, I also noticed that when the contestant's check is removed from the board, the number of the check underneath is 42 -- the next in sequence after contestant check 41. That's a nice, subtle touch.)

Or a mistake with the season number.
