I also didn't like the fact that the contestant was losing money as the game progressed, instead of building it up, which did make it seem a little anticlimactic.
I'm curious as to how the game could have been engineered to allow money to be 'built up' as you suggest instead of losing money. I personally didn't find it anticlimactic, considering the high stakes involved with each and every step, but I still wonder how you would have handled it differently. I can't imagine how you can make the game go from $0 to $250,000 without engineering the game beyond recognition.

...Now or Then: An enthusiastic contestant, but I think this guy got sort of lucky.  The "New" on the bottle and in the prize description of the first item should've been a bit of clue.  But, a win is always nice...

I'm glad someone else caught this!  Besides the "4 Nows and 2 Thens" trick, the presence of the word "New!!" is the other "secret" to this game:  NEW = NOW.  That lotion was just screaming "NOW!!!"!

I can swear that I once saw a sharper contestant actually point this out to Bob.
