CSS Leaderboard: 1/26/2007 (After 18 Weeks/85 Games)
« on: January 26, 2007, 07:17:43 PM »
This week, except for Thursday's game, was marked with a very high number of overbids.  Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday saw more than half the field go over, and Monday wasn't a walk in the park either.  Congrats go to all the winners this week, in order:  NCC (12th), wschmrdr (2nd), BRB (10th), pathy20 (who is now above the line, 2nd win), and umbchockeypa08 (2nd).  Way to go!

LOWEST OF THE LOW -- WEEK 18

SINGLE SHOWCASE:

1.  catfan2002 -- though not winning on Wednesday, did put in the best bid of the week, a $135 difference against the Bank showcase on Wednesday worth not even $14K;
2  umbchockeypa08 --  winning on Friday with a $138 difference against the tricky fusion showcase worth about $21.5K;
3.  Gatorman -- would have won had he not gone over on Monday, putting in a $167 difference against the $16.4K bedroom showcase.

TOTAL DIFFERENCE:

1.  wschmrdr -- just edging out the second-best total of the week, with a $1193 total against the Mustang/Hong Kong combo on Tuesday worth over $45.5K;
2.  BRB_TheFireball -- winning on Wendesday with a $1195 total difference against the FRBS/Bank combo worth almost $48.5K;
3.  NCC-2000 -- also on Wednesday, a $1225 difference.

BUDGET BUSTERS:

1.  pathfinder20 -- $97,334 (Thursday)
2.  umbchockeypa08 -- $80,152 (Friday)
3.  NCC-2000 -- $64,862 (Monday and Wednesday)

Jordan, if I've played 33 games, and Pathy 34, doesn't that mean we hop over the line?

Jordan, I know I don't play much, but I'm pretty sure I have a better score rate than 0% :-).

So I'm still in 8th place points-wise, with Sideshow on my tail.  I've got to work hard next week, no exceptions!

Fortunately, I was able to play only twice this week, and was able to avoid the carnage of the early week.

Unfortunately, my teaching schedule changes starting this Monday, and I am not sure how often I will be able to play.

Jordan, I do appreciate the update!  However, I believe my score rate should be 40% (2/5)...I scored this week as is on your sheet and also 10/13/06.

Heh...I'm all the way down to 30th in money out of the 32 above the line...and ouch for my triple-wipeout week.  Heels even passed me on points!  (Then again, that's entirely due to the unfair advantage of a Punch doubler on a day I was at class, so it's no sweat off my back.  We both know who's better.)

EDIT:  Last season, I had 22 overs, total, in 82 games.  This year, I'm already up to 21 in 48 games.  What's happened to me?

Yikes.....I've got company in DSW-territory now.

How did I manage to keep 3rd place in average points after this week of Big Ones?!?!?!?  :-o

Oh my, how far I have fallen:

On 12/22/06, these were my stats:
7th place
Average Score: 83.90
Games: 30
Number of Overbids: 4
Rate: 86.67 (1st place)

This Week:
16th place
Average Score: 71.89
Games: 43
Number of Overbids: 10
Rate: 76.74

I'm positioning myself for a comeback sometime soon, I guess. I doesn't help that I haven't been able to be there for Double Fridays lately? Any chance we could move it the Thursdays? No? Oh well.
