Except don't they have Lackey and Peavy up next in the rotation (neither of whom I think can be trusted at this point to bring their "A" games)?  I think this series is still up for grabs.
So this is the "get off of my lawn" stage of my life.  I'm not impressed.

Your 2013 World Champions: The Boston Red Sox.

If Papi (or at the very least, Koji) doesn't win MVP, I'll be shocked.

It took 95 years to finally clinch at home again. Congrats. What a turnaround from last season.

Truly remarkable, and after the year the city had, they definitely deserve this moment.

EDIT: Just a quick note. It's a small shame that the series didn't go to a Game 7 tomorrow because it would've been one of those fun rare instances when there would be a MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL game, all on the same day.

With everything that went on in New England in the past 12 months (Sandy Hook, the Marathon bombings), the Red Sox deserved to clinch it at home, this coming from a Met fan.

Big Papi was named series MVP.

Never liked Ortiz, especially after being named in the Mitchell Report. Plus, I was pulling for the Cardinals.

Bovada already has odds on who will be next year's World Series champ. The Dodgers are the 7:1 favorite. Long shot is Houston at 200:1.
