Most funniest moment ever.
« on: January 29, 2007, 12:02:53 PM »
What do you think was the most funniest moment on TPiR ever? Here's my list.

5. Igancia's freudian slip
4. Yolanda
3. The Nicole Barrington/Thorenson/Thornbrow confusion
2. The damaged Ford Windstar and Rod forgetting to read the plug.
1. Bryan ruining Golden Road on those tools. Although it was stupid, I laughed when he picked 1.

What do you think was the most funniest moment ever?

there's a few I remember.

Nikki breaking the cover of a desk in Season 29.

Nikki not being able to make a folding bike fold.

Like yours, Janice's collision with the turntable and Rod forgetting the plug.

Janice crashing the convertible into door number 3 in the 70's.

I gotta throw in Rachel's classic car crash.

The clip of Janice and the overloaded Amana refrigerator.

Also the clip of Janice modeling the pop-up bar that wouldn't pop-up.

Shane when she wasn't prepared to model the sofa earlier this season.

Shane also had trouble with a piano cover and couldn't get it to slide back.

The contestant a couple years ago who not only spun, but also pulled the wheel in Safe Crackers causing it to break.

The contestant who pressed the button in Flip-Flop.

The contestant last season who ran all over the stage and shook Rich's hand after winning Any Number.

Zane who did a victory dance after winning Push Over on the Season 34 premiere.

I'll post more later if I think of them.

Oops, was there a thread like this? If so, I'm sorry for creating another one.

Anyway, Breton's Flip-Flop playing. He didn't cheat on purpose. Let's be thankful he didn't play Triple Play or Golden Road.

After donating all that money to Sally so he could buy a new search engine, it's nice to see it put to good use.  :-P

Most funniest??  "Funniest" means the most amusing.

I think the funniest moment is the Shell Game player with the woman who mistakenly looked under the first shell.  It only gets funnier from that point, thanks to Barker's handling of the faux pas, because the more she gets prices right, the more obvious it's going to be that she has won.  And Barker's reveal is hillarious.

Wow.  You thought that was funny?  You actually thought a guy winning a prize because he decided to be a showoffish jackass and touch a part of a prop that he clearly wasn't supposed to was funny?

Cripes.

I started a thread much similar to this one; I just can't remember what it was.

Steve, Breton wasn't being a showoff; he just made a mistake, that's all.  It was a very, shall I say, HILARIOUS mistake!!

Here is Breton's Flip-Flop playing for those who want to review it.

I agree that the contestant wasn't trying to be a showoff.  He obviously thought he had to press the button in order to "lock in" his choice.
Fun fact: Evelyn Wong, the 5th person to be called on the first show (9/4/72), was actually the very first contestant to directly be called to come on down!  The original first four (Sandy Flornor, Paul Levine, Connie Donnel, Myra Carter) were individually told to stand up, and then, as a group, were invited to come on down.

I could maybe buy that explanation if he had made a choice -- but he hadn't.

I would have to add, as a close second, the playing of "Punchboard" on one of Bob's birthdays:  it was right after the "Second Chance" had been added, and it's clear that Bob didn't realize that the contestant had to give back the money on the second chance.

Then he gets mixed up over how many holes are left, and his exchange with Janice at the end is hillarious.

I've had this on tape since the day it happened.  Someone finally put it on YouTube in three parts.  Here's part one.

I always thought the Second Chance slips had existed ever since they adopted the normal rules.  Am I wrong?

Well, it was there as of September 1980 (the earliest playing I have).

- The Shell Game incident.

- Joy's abysmal playing of Ten chances, even if it's mainly for Bob's reaction at the end.

- The same for Clock Game where the contestant made really bad guesses, making Bob have to stop the clock.

- When Janice played Hole in One and the ball went into the hole at a seemingly impossible angle.  ...Actually, I didn't really find that "funny", but more like, "...What?" with a bewildered face.
