Man, did we come so close to a perfect show today. We'll get one eventually. ;) Just for the sake of curiosity, if Daniel had won his $16,000, total winnings would've been $86,472 and if there wasn't a DOB, we could've managed as high as $113,419. I will say this much, we had a great show.

Too bad we had the DOB and Bag spoiling a perfect show. But we still had a decent show, and a $1 on the wheel.

And a lesson for me in paying closer attention to prizes...I thought the Waverunner in DP was a snowmobile, and therefore couldn't understand why it was so expensive. I guess it's just old age. :D

Freeze: Thank goodness for the audience.

an: What a comeback!

IitB: I knew Daniel had lost when he didn't stop at $4K. Thanks to TBW, though, he ultimately lost just $3K of that.

OWP: The Inspire -95 rule strikes again.

DP: That could've been tough on the WaveRunner, but it didn't fool too many.

RR: Maybe we need to start sticking w/ that pink rat!

Showcases: This is the third time now in a two-season span where a DOB has occurred between a car game winner & the sole PG loser of the day who spun a dollar on the wheel (all three victims, including Daniel, were male). Bummer.

Excluding the DOB, good show today.

My two cents:

Freeze Frame: Good win.
Any Number: Great win!
It's in the Bag: Tough break. The last two bags were tricky.
One Wrong Price: Tricky, but good win!
Double Prices: That was a piece of cake.
Rat Race: What a win!

Too bad about the Showcase, though.

It's in the Bag was lost.

5 games won out of 6 games played - great show today, IMHO!  Too bad It's In The Bag was lost & there was a DOB in the showcase.

Man, we finally get a 5/6 show and it's our deadest recap of the season. Come on here, people! :) Though I guess there's not really a ton to say about this one, other than I feel like we've been having bad luck at every juncture this season but today shows what happens when things slide a bit the other direction:

-Freeze: This was theoretically set up for an easy win, but trips to Hawaii have been 8335 before. On another day, the contestant would have stopped there instead.
-Any: A very strange playing. A hard setup won by a contestant that had basically no strategy at all (seriously, starting with 5, 8 and 3?) This led to her getting the only easyish number in the loaded Fiat, 4, last. I think setups that have the repeat number in the car price now aren't as hard for some contestants with the used number board.
-OWP: A tossup setup leaning a win just because the gym's wrong price was even higher than its absurd actual price. Still, we've blown plenty of these this season.
-DP: This plain wasn't supposed to be won at all. Classic "it can't possibly be this expensive" trap with a fake -95 to boot. Good work!
-Rat: An easier setup than normal with an actual reasonable SP for the Spark, though that bird food guess was atrocious. Still, Rat always comes down to luck and the game has seemed cursed lately.

So, I mean, nothing especially dramatic happened, and it was just another Bag-Rat show, but we finally had things turn our way a bit today. Let's keep it up. And the DOB, well, it saved budget :)

Something I've never noticed before.. there's a Rat Race sticker placed on the floor (a la Pay the Rent) to indicate where Drew and the contestant stand.
"It's a SuperBall prize package worth $11,245!!

What a show, and what a bad ending!

We've finally got a recent show, but a DOB was just a killer.

We've almost had a Perfect Show, and a possible DSW, but it wasn't today.

Unfortunately, It's In The Bag is It's In The Bag, so a loss was inevitable.  The Showcases are a whole different story.
