This would be a good time to mention that my schedule has my 1 PM class right after Wednesday and Friday shows.

To this guy's probable delight, the person (now people) I am taking to lunch were late after class so I have time to finish it.

Doesn't the show usually make tickets to a special event a bonus prize to the showcase winner, rather than making it part of one of the showcases?  I know "back in the day" it was part of a showcase (almost always the second one), but I thought they stopped doing that recently.

And somehow, I don't think the fact that both Showcase contestants got tickets to the Grammys had anything to do with both of them being over - yes, that's what Drew said, but it came across as more of a "convenient reason."

Pay the Rent: $10,000 is a nice start even though it wasn't a win. Unfortunately that was the only good part of this show.

Pushover: 1 of my favorite 1 prize games. Today was a case of a contestant paying the price for not going with his 1st instinct. It seemed clear today's contestant was thinking 7126 and changed his mind at the last second to 5712. Your 1st instinct is usually right. Too bad. That was a nice trip.

2 prizes for the Price of 1: I would have won this. I thought 920 or 960 right from the start. Thus I would have taken the 2nd digit as my free digit and won by setting the price to $920. Ashamed to see the car lost.

Secret X: I hate this game due to perfect pricing still allowing for a loss. Not that it mattered today as we got a wipeout and never got to play the 2nd part of the game. Unfortunate result. The bedroom group was a decent prize.

That's Too Much. I thought he had gone too far. Clearly today's contestant was overconfident. Shame another car is lost.

Swap Meet: The computers were nice but the shoes are pool table aren't my favorite prizes. Still ashamed to have yet another loss.

Showcases: Even more disappointing overbid when you consider both showcases offered a car.

Very bad show today and only the $10,000 won on Pay the Rent stopped it from being horrible.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.
