Details of the new series of Gameshow Marathon coming soon to ITV1.  According to ukgameshows.com, the following will be played:

Blockbusters
Blankety Blank
The Golden Shot
Name That Tune
Mr & Mrs
Play Your Cards Right
Bullseye

What are "The Golden Shot" and "Mr. And Mrs.?"

The Golden Shot was an early interactive gameshow in which viewers phoned in and the idea was to direct a blindfolded cameraman with a crossbow to shoot directly at a target in order to win big cash prizes.
It ran from 1967-1975.

Mr & Mrs involved married couples answering questions based on each other's daily habits, work, hobbies, etc.  and how much they really know about each other.
It ran from the early 70s, although not continuously.

...sounds like a British version of The Newlywed Game.

Actually the Mr and Mrs Game is older, HTV West Kinda produced it so Im sure it aired here on HTV Wales well before it went national on the ITV network.

I think HTV Wales did produce a Welsh version though.

Makes me question who owns the licence to the game, im guessing Carlton.

According to ukgameshows.com, it seems it first aired in 1964 and was then produced by ATV, with HTV picking up the format around 6 years later.

Whats the point of doing tpir and it has been taken off the air?
