So they can give away $33,000 trips...surely they can play 3 Strikes, for example, for equally high-end cars once in awhile.

It was nice of the show to give out chocolate bars and gift cards to the audience, especially to lift the mood after the DOB.

Well, there was a D.O.B., but it was still decent.

THE BAD NEWS:

Squeeze Play: Unfortunate for Nicholas and Elizabeth.

1/2 Off: Seems obvious for the $10K to be in box #2 since it was a couples special.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Pick A Pair: Good win by Roth and Sheri!

Side By Side: Easy win by Daniel and Chereese!

Temptation: I was leading the assumption that Akira and Samantha should bail..........How wrong was I? A great job by that couple!!

Secret X: Wow.............Cancun got sexed-up. I mean, just..........wow. Well, it wouldn't be the first time that a trip for nearly a few dozen people was presented, like the Wedding special from last season. Either way, that was a good win by Robert and Allison!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

This was a pretty good V-Day special, despite a DOB..............However, I think there were some things that were left out this season. If there was gonna be a Couples theme, then where the hell's Take Two? Plus, the Showcases were pretty less-than-enthusiastic for me. I mean, why compact cars, like the Fiat and the Kia? Why not a sporty car like a Corvette or something?

Eh, I'm not so sure I'd say the trip was sexed up. Let's remember, we're talking seven nights for 22 people.

safe crackers would have come in handy with cancun since drew sometimes says that we have a really expensive prize that we had to keep it in a safe.

What a fantastic win in Temptation today! :-)   ( When the car was revealed behind Door #2, I thought for a moment: "Card Game?".) I wonder why Drew didn't say "We have some wedding gifts for you"; it was a perfect day for it.

From the Secret "X" setup, it seemed to me that the producers wanted to give that destination wedding away. I wasn't expecting the game anyway; we don't see two small prize games on the same show that often.

I liked the traditional camera shot of Drew making his entrance though the doors (and today, the big heart). :)

Math time!

$33,000 / 11 (because trips are usually given for two people) = $3,000 for seven nights

Hardly sexed up.
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

I must admit when Temptation came up today, I was like no way there getting the car. But I was surprise when they got it. & I was shocked in the value of the $33,000 trip to Cancun & wedding planning prize in Secret X.

Pretty good show today. Perhaps it would have been too obvious for the $10,000 to be in box #14 in 1/2 Off? :P

Very nice win in Temptation.

I liked Drew's initial handling of the double overbid. He didn't tip his hand when he went from couple to couple. He should do that more often when the first showcase bid is over.

The Daniel Bryan "YES! YES! YES!" shirts also made me smile. :D

Did anyone else notice the freeze frame reaction shots after Secret 'X' (I believe), it would be cool if they started using those again (sparingly of course, maybe once an episode).

Not too obvious..........But if Kendall and Natalie got all the SPs right (and the $1000 bonus) then it would be more obvious that the last two boxes would be #2 and #14 (February 14).

PaP: Pretty easy as usual.

Squeeze: I would've won.

1/2 Off: I wish they had chosen #2 because of the holiday theme.

SBS: Easy.

Temptation: For the 2nd time in the current era, it's won thanks to a tad easier-than-normal setup!

SX: I had a feeling it would be in the middle because I know they wanted to give away that $33K wedding badly.

Showcases: What a bummer that one couple overbid by $22 & we had a DOB as a result.

...If they were going to offer the gigantic wedding vacation for 22, why not offer it in Pick a Pair and have that 6th? (Then do Balance Game, Freeze Frame, or another 1P first) Why was it necessary to have two SP's and one GP? Or even keep Secret "X" and just play It's in the Bag instead of 1/2 Off. And no, I'm not only annoyed because of FPG :P.

Anyways, rant aside, it was a pretty good show today. It was especially great to see Temptation won, especially considering that was a pretty tough setup (as usual).

Those 2 showcases sucked. Put 2 cars in one and everything else in the other and you still won't have to worry about a car being won since those are so cheap they'll be overbid for sure and then pad the other showcase to make sure you do not have a DOB on an actual "special" show.

Because it's unreasonable to ask a contestant to price a large selection of formalwear?

Much like the $47,000 Aruba wedding they gave away last June, I'm pretty sure this trip was sponsored. (At least, I *hope* it was sponsored.)
