A good show today, great win on Cover and a Shell win is always nice. Tough break on Stack though, and it was so close.
2nd place, 2011 CSS playoffs.     QSW, 3/27/17, 1/15/18. Exacta, 5/14/21.

Cu: We haven't seen a lucky win like that in a long time!

ME: Easy.

sg: Darn those tools for ruining a shot at the big cash bonus.

DtM: Also easy.

StD: I knew this would ruin the PERFECTO bid. Jorge tried- if he had ran the table on the groceries & chosen the third digit, he most likely would've won.

CoG: Not 100% easy, because we've seen cheap Vancouver trips in the past.

Showcases: Tammie did absolutely the right thing by passing the car Showcase, because I knew Brittany had overbid on it. What a lucky day for she & her family (including new 60-yr.-old Judy)!

Darn Stack the Deck!   :-x

If they're dead set on not bringing wrong starting numbers back on Cover Up, the tags spelling "PRICE" would be okay as a permanent replacement.

No perfect show, but it was still awesome!

THE BAD NEWS:

Stack The Deck: Talk about having a monkey wrench being thrown at us.................At least, Jorge came close into winning it, though. And it came as close as we're gonna get for another win this season.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Cover Up: The design for this playing was "meh" (And I think that should be a permanent thing if the production crew runs out of ideas or if they don't want to bring back the wrong numbers, just to appease Drew's "hatred" for them) but Tammie really knocked it out of here on the 2nd try. And she did won a pretty decent looking FRATS as well!

ME: Easy win for Sanquanita!

Shell Game: A good win for Roger...........And it's a good thing that he guessed that the pitcher was higher. That SP has been quite a bane on most of the contestants this season.

Do The Math: Easy setup and win for Brittany!

CoG: Ina is "going" to Vancouver!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Great show today...............But it was heavily edited for some reason. Maybe it was to save time for Stack, I guess. Also, the "Rancho Cucamonga........Slowly I turn....." phrase was taken out again today. That's being a on/off switch from these few weeks, out of the three contestants that are from there.

Nice 5/6 Show today...I'd still like to know how a trip to Plymouth is so bleeping expensive. I know because I live there,we are not an expensive town to live in or get accomodations at.
First QSW!! 2/8/13

Everyone be careful out there!

Rather than go by segment, I'm going to do this recap by contestant.

Contestants Row: Poor Daniel. Outside of his first bid, all of the other bids were decent.
Tammie: The best Cover Up player in a long time, utilizing strategy followed by the 2nd try win! And she'll have another memorable journey for winning her FRATS!
Sanquita: Nice bonus on her one-bid, plus an easy ME win gives her some nice prizes.
Roger: Pretty good price guessing leads to a Shell Game win! Also, thanks Drew for not spoiling the bonus upon winning all four chips.
Brittany: Another routine win. Too bad she thought the Chevy was a Malibu or a nicely equipped Cruze.
Jorge: So close to a perfect show!
Ina: The old "Going" for a trip rule works again, not to mention the sub-$4500 rule.

That said, inspite of the weird taping order as of late, its funny to go four shows without a cash game, but it still had a pretty good lineup and the contestants/Drew/George were in fine form.

Grade: B+
Now open for tape trading! Please PM me for an offer with a list included.

I didn't watch it at all today, and I can tell you that I've never seen such a thing as a bad 5-for-6 day. Does that answer your question?

Great, exciting, thoroughly enjoyable show today. I hate that they feel they have to play Stack on 2 weeks now but today showed how exciting (and unfortunately heartbreaking) it can be when the contestants get close but miss on that game. What will get lost is that in my opinion this was an absolute top notch hosting performance from Drew (especially considering frequent trouble spots Shell and Stack were in the lineup). He should watch tapes of this episode on repeat and look at all the little things he did right today (commercial tosses, buildup, everything).

Not trying to be too picky here, but I wouldn't say "absolute top notch". For two things, I thought he was too quiet during the Shell Game ball reveal, and that he wasn't precise enough with his Do The Math rule explanation (as usual - it's the price of X plus or minus the amount equals the price of y). But good job, and he's not asking every contestant "Where are you from?" these days. Definite improvement there.

I think it was a good thing Jorge choose the second digit as one of his "free" picks in Stack. With it being "1", the only logical choice for the first digit was "2". Had he not gotten the second digit, he might have assumed the car price began with 19 or 18.

He was sooo close though. And I agree: a fantastic win in Cover Up today and a particularly enjoyable show in general.

Sorry but I'm not quite sure what you are referencing here. What is wrong with asking that question?

There's nothing wrong with asking that, but, in the recent past, it seemed like Drew would ask practically every contestant that made it up on stage "Where are you from?", or "What do you do?". I've been noticing more recently that he's been more varied with his contestant conversations (asking "Who are you here with?", "What's that on your shirt?", etc.) I think that's a good thing; I recall seeing an interview with Bob and one of the things he said a good host should to is mix things up. Don't always say "this" or "that". I agree.
