Best part of the show was when Drew referred to 09 as ' El Cheapo ' during Money Game. It's good to hear him say that once in a while.

If I recall, this special tends to result in disaster every year due to just terrible gameplay, but today wasn't bad at all!  None of the contestants were particularly annoying.  The game selection, while a bit derivative, wasn't bad, and Drew seemed to be on the money.  Not too shabby.
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

Despite this being average, this was a little better than the last two Spring Break shows.

THE BAD NEWS:

Grocery Game: I think it's best if future contestants should starting chipping away and might try to avoid slam dunking..........Not everyone can be Blake Griffin.  :P I mean, it may have work in the past, but now it's too much of a risk.

Money Game: At least Drew was able to mention El Cheapo on this playing, so that's good to know.

THE NOT-SO-BAD NEWS:

Plinko: Good thing that Branden got $11100.

Temptation: I thought Christian was wise to bail, even though he had 3 of the 5 numbers right. He was able to win a car in the end, though.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Switch?: Surprised how cheap that TV was.........But it was a good win by Jacquene!

Double Prices: "Duh" setup and win for Harriet!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

This was probably a much more enjoyable (and watchable) Spring Break show than past ones..........Which seems funny, because college shows like Spring Break tend to be poorly executed at times, even the Back To School ones, too*. I also found it weird that Drew, George, and the models didn't dress up in beach/Spring Break attire..............They seemed to be a bit out of place (and character) just wearing 3-piece suits and dresses. Nevertheless, they were all in full form and Drew did a good job hosting, too.

*Could this mean we might also get a much more enjoyable and watchable Back To School special later on this year? I hope so.

Meanwhile, at some unspecified time in the future...

"Yes, I know Senator Warren's Student Loan Forgiveness Bill was signed into law, but apparently you missed the part where it says that you're not eligible if you spent too much money on items not essential to your studies - otherwise, far too many students would spend a chunk of their loan money on trips to Cancun - and I don't think 'flying to LA to be on a TPIR Spring Break Special' is going to be considered essential..."

Adam, I know I'm coming in really late here, but there's a small error in the recap.  The people modelling the car in the second showcase weren't Brittney's friends -- they were actually the other seven contestants!

Best part of the show was when Drew referred to 09 as ' El Cheapo ' during Money Game. It's good to hear him say that once in a while.

Honestly, I don't recall ever hearing Drew refer to a "0x" choice as El Cheapo before, but considering that I sometimes "watch" the show (i.e. have it on in the living room) from the kitchen while doing cooking and chores, I could've missed it.
