Lots and lots of numbers! (courtesy tpirsummaries.8m.com)

Wow, I didn't realize Gas Money had that kind of a record.  Statistics don't lie; you're right, that definitely qualifies it for the title of "hardest."  (Or, one of the hardest anyway!)

The one thing of particular notice with Season 42 and That's Too Much, almost (if not) every playing of TTM has the right price 3rd or 8th. Some point the contestants will catch on you'd have to think.

This raises something that's interested me for a long time.  TTM at times has been nicknamed "That's Two Ninth," since the right prices seemed to pop up in those slots a lot.  Now it's 3rd and 8th, which seems to me to be little better.  Maybe I'm not remembering right, but in Barker's day it seemed like the prices were usually in the latter 2/3 of the board, and I can't recall even once that it was the first three.

So the question is...what constitutes a "fair" TTM setup?  According to the rules of the game, yes, the price could be anywhere on the board, even the first slot, but it seems like putting it too early is just mean.

Anything besides first or last.

Gas Money is pretty on-par with That's Too Much, if not lost a bit more.

The numbers you gave don't give a true picture because all of the bailouts (10) count as losses.

I thought there was a distinction between a partial win (a bailout in this instance) and a full loss...
