Washington is a beautiful place. I do want to advise that there is another part to Washington other than Seattle! I live in the dry eastern half of the state, and it is as beautiful as the wet western half. Our half has some of the highest-yielding lentil regions, and hundreds of wineries to explore.

I'll be driving through eastern Washington, but the bulk of my time is in Seattle. It's just a day stop before I head to Anchorage.

I have lived in:

Pennsylvania
Maryland (currently live)
Illinois

I have visited:

Massachusetts
Connecticut
Rhode Island
New York
New Jersey
Delaware
Virginia
North Carolina
South Carolina
Florida
Tennessee
West Virginia
Ohio
Indiana
Missouri
Kansas
California

And in a few weeks, I am adding Georgia and Alabama, so that will make 22 states. I haven't been to Canada, but I did go to Taiwan. If you count states flown over, then I can add Kentucky, Michigan, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada, making 29 states.

I'm born, raised and lived my entire life in Michigan.  I have been in 38 states and D.C. (still missing Alabama, Louisiana, Iowa, N. Dakota, S. Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Hawaii).  Also been to Ontario many times (so proximate to SE Michigan) and British Columbia (embarked from Vancouver on my way to Alaska).  I have also been in 78 of the 83 counties in Michigan, including all but one in the Lower Peninsula (sorry, Cass County!).

It's a bucket-list thing for me to visit every county in my home state and to visit all 50 states.  My older sister also had a goal of visiting all 50 states, and she finally completed it last year when she and her husband made it to Oklahoma.  Gotta keep up with big sister!

Same here.  My goal is to visit all 50 states and all the Canadian provinces as well.  I want to check off at least one state a year.  I might visit Quebec this summer and then Pennsylvania this fall.

17 if we count traveling through, 15 if we don't.  Never left the country, although I have seen Canada from the other side of the Soo Locks.

I doubt anyone cares which 17.
