Well, a CAR GAME SHUTOUT finally happened this season; we were so close so many times this week. At least Amanda ended the Top Winner winless streak in the Showcases, won her PG & the top Showcase of the day (including the Mustang).

I knew it was all over when we saw GM.

Another rough week for the show, 1 for 6 with the plinko center slot hit.

I feel optimistic for next week and hopeful we won't repeat this 1 for 6 run for the balance of the season.

I was very happy to see Magic Number back for the first time since last year, I was not surprised it would be instantly lost the moment it came back into rotation.

The car shutout happens for the first time this year with One Away, a hatchback being lost was not that great.

but it's good a winless streak ends in a showcase, i was very pleased that would happen.

Is Scion a GM brand?

The honda gets lost in addition to the remaining 4 games. the only win was squeeze play being played for a trip which was 6 digits in the price like with cars.

Do any of you feel we will do better as we wind down and head to the summer break and re-run season?

Nothing good comes from a car game washout.............Then again, nothing good has came from this week, in general. Well, OK.........There was 1 win per lineup this week. But even though it might be (to a pretty weak extent) better than a week of skunked shows, it did feel like as if Mike might have pulled a page out of Greco's playbook. You know, have a week of way less-than-average shows in order to maintain the budget (i.e., the Audi win). I mean, it wasn't as worse as some of those kind of weeks, but this was less-than-stellar.

Now considering today, it was really no different than the last four shows this week. Squeeze Play probably wasn't too hard of a setup. However, Magic # has came back......So that's good to know. Too bad Robin didn't do so hot on it. And Gas Money was no better either, even with that cheap Insight. Then again, a lot of things have started to become painstakingly cheap, as of late, and that has really thrown a good amount of us off-track.

And another thing.........How can they considered the second Showcase to be "epic"? A big TV and a couple of "El Cheapo" trips hardly makes it epic, especially when it all of that together cost more than $20K. Now if replace that cruise with the Mustang from SC1........Maybe.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Another lukewarm 1/6 show from a week that was stuck on neutral.............And there was no need for me to do any BAD NEWS/GOOD NEWS. Hopefully next week will fare better than this broken record.

Lackluster end to the week, unfortunate how many losses we had. At least the Mustang was somehow won in the showcases, despite the setup of them favoring a DOB. Not much else to say about this one, a forgettable show with the exception of Magic #'s "return" (Return in quotes because I'm not sure if it already came back before this on a show like 6685K that got pushed back.)

[This week felt] like as if Mike might have pulled a page out of Greco's playbook. You know, have a week of way less-than-average shows in order to maintain the budget (i.e., the Audi win).

To me it felt a lot different, more like "just bad luck". A lot of the setups that were winnable just didn't end up getting won because of one reason or another.

The Audi R8 win had little to nothing to do with it (alone), and it was months ago. It's just pure dumb luck.

And Plinko's $10K+ win actually makes today better than the rest of the week. Not to mention that a rarely-offered Ford Mustang was won in the Showcase! So, the seemingly-sour week ended on a happy note.

And it's good to see Magic # back!

6-24 (or 5-25 for purists) with two double overbids. Zero car pricing game wins. Reminiscent of a S38 week. While car setups were tough this week, we suddenly had a ton of bad luck and poor decisions on quickies - that's all that really doomed this week. OK, today's SCs probably did not need to be such a blatant DOB setup.

Yay, Magic #! Wonder what took so long.

Quirky little thing I noticed, Robin's shirt said "believe in magic" and what game did he end up playing? Good to see this game back.

Couple of comments:
- Magic Hashtag's back to a sane setup, clearly... I don't recall the last time the low prize was $2500+. Also...
Quirky little thing I noticed, Robin's shirt said "believe in magic" and what game did he end up playing? Good to see this game back.
And he had the # sign on the shirt, too. Alanis Morrisette Irony detected.

- If the prize copy includes the phrase "It's Lesser At Plesser", would you really want to pick that in Most Expensive?

A key to successful game play is actually paying attention to George when he reads the prize copies. In today's most expensive playing, it's lesser at plesser is a clue to not pick the least expensive prize

To be fair it is quite difficult to hear tiny details like that in-studio. Heck, for all we know sometimes some of those scripts are re-dubbed after the fact so the TV audience is none the wiser to what was actually said at the time.

Exactly, it is generally very loud in the bob barker studio. they have to hold cue cards up to call down contestants, and of course there's rewrites.
