Yes tnpir2014, that is exactly what i am getting at. When things are presented after the fact, this is where the problems start in production.

I think you have your cause and effect backwards--things are re-shot after the fact only if there's a problem during production of the show.

I agree it is becoming too regular, and mike and the staff should do something about that before they actually commit an S&P violation.

Altering prize copy is in all likelihood an S&P violation, which is why as far as I know they've never done it and never will.  If there is an issue with the prize copy, the nature of the issue is noted during the credits, and the contestant is awarded the prize.  (Or, if the prize was already won, they just say "...it did not affect the outcome of our game.")

Yes, I am suggesting something can be re-shot later due to the initial take not being spot-on the first time. if this isn't corrected it will become worse than it already is.

Well, during the Barker days they shot the show as if it was live to tape, and they always strove to get it right the first time, making reshoots less necessary.  That's not the case in the world of Mike Richards, where in lieu of getting the show as live-to-tape as possible, they just do whatever and then edit things out.  The editing itself isn't really a problem for me, but the fact of the proceedings just going for however long is--the longer they use the studio, the more they have to pay, and that money's got to come from somewhere.

I see, I clearly missed a lot of key details. How do I get my cause and effect forwards?

What you said was:  "When things are presented after the fact, this is where the problems start in production."  The implication is that things being re-shot is the cause, and "problems in production" are the effect.  That's backwards.

"Problems in production" is the cause (and where problems start), re-shooting things after the fact (or in this case, after the taping or during a stopdown) is the effect.  You could make the argument (convincingly, I think), that "problems during production" is also an effect, with Mike's philosophy of "shoot now, edit later" being the cause, but that's a discussion for another time.
