WHEN WE ACTUALLY PLAY

The insertion of the two missing N.O. episodes have kind of thrown a wrench into the symmetry of a 5-day original episode week.  But it also brings into mind a very cool way to play out The Cup.

The Goodson Cup will be played out in THREE SEPARATE ROUNDS as follows:

1.  Round One will occur on Friday, June 9th.
2.  Round Two will occur on Friday, June 23rd.
3.  The third and final leg will occur over the LAST TWO DAYS OF THE SEASON, June 26th and June 27th.

For Rounds One and Two, it will be business as usual.  Each Round, eight people (more if necessary in R1) will be eliminated based upon their score that week.

For the eight people who make it to Round Three, the combined score from both days will determine this year's winner.

The Round Three episodes will be the two Monday episodes subsituted for the missing N.O. eps.

For those players that make it to the Final Round, I'll give you more details at that time, but be ready to turn around your entry in just about 36-48 hours.  It won't be as easy as you think.

WHO GETS ELIMINATED AND HOW

1.  After Round One, the field will be clipped to 16 players.  Anyone tied for 16th will go through to Round Two.  You must score at least ONE MG POINT to continue on to Round Two.
2.  Same thing four Round Two, except the field will be clipped to EIGHT PLAYERS.  You must score at least TWO MG POINTS to continue on to the Final Round.

IS THE DOB PLAYING?

Yup.  Here's how he gets scored each round.

In every Round, he can earn $500,000 and 50 Points on a very simple basis:

If anyone scores 0 MG, he gets paid.  If he plays a game no one picks, he gets paid again.

He can earn up to $1M and 100 pts per Round.

That's it.
