Bargin Game: I too would have lost. This playing reminds of a recent Switch? playing in which the TV also proved to be more expensive than I would have. Bad start. Those were both nice prizes.

Money Game: Sgement of the day! It was awesome to see an exacta and I kinda anticipated the win when today's contestant picked 12. What a great segement and great to see the Dodge Avenger won.

Check Out: I knew today's contestant was too high. Her animal crackers price sounded reasonable but I knew she was really high on a few of the others. I sensed a loss coming when she said #3.75 for the sardines. Unfortunate. Those were some useful prizes.

Race Game; You know we exactly have a host who explains pretty well in Bonkers and Race Game that polling the peanut gallery is a bad idea and yet too may contestants still do. It's ashamed that more contestants don't grasp that Bonkers and Race Game are not tests of pricing skill but games of maximizing your guesses. The Flexsteel recliner and the Apple MacPro computer were fantastic prizes even if acceseories aren't my favorite prize.

Pathfinder: Tricky. The Kia Soul is a cheaper car and a lot of contestants aren't going to pick 5 for the thousands digit. The SPs were tricky too. Ashamed to have back to back wipeouts.

Pick a Number: Fairly easy setup and nice win of a nice Singapore trip.

Showcases: The Toyota Tacoma showcase was the better showcase but the trips showcase was pretty nice. This would've been the perfect day for a DSW. And we almost got it.

Lineup: Very strong middle with Money Game,Check Out,Race Game and Pathfinder. 4 fantastic games in a row there. Bargin Game works well as a leadoff but Pick a Number is a horrible closer. Very good lineup but it would have been a great lineup by slotting Pick a Number 4th and Race Game 6th. If you have only 1 dull game in the lineup 6th is the worst place to slot it.

Overall: The Money Game segment,a strong lineup and 2 good showcase being offered makes this 1 of our better 2 for 6 shows.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

I think it was a good choice to miss a majority of the show; had I not seen only the SCSDs and Showcases, I would be very disappointed in seeing today's Race Game and Pathfinder playings. The Pathfinder playing was awful, but Race Game was worse. (And by the way, Adam, the fourth prize is missing from the list.) But Money Game...that's the second perfect playing this season, and only the fourth perfect playing in the last five years! Great wins on that and Pick-a-Number.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Well, once you look past that incredibly bad wipeout on Money Race Game, today was pretty good. The Money Game win was the highlight of the day IMHO.

FTFY. :-)

OK. The Race Game was REALLY bad.

She NEVER changed the prices.  She picked the prices up and put them back in the same position each time.  If she had laid them out top to bottom, left to right, she would have at least got two right.

Not quite.  The first time she put the prices on the prizes.  Her second turn she switched the last two prices.  Then she switched them back.  Therefore, she did switch some prices.

Not quite.  The first time she put the prices on the prizes.  Her second turn she switched the last two prices.  Then she switched them back.  Therefore, she did switch some prices.

Watch it again.

The first time it is 578 - 4236 - 2598 - 1699
She picks up 3 and 4 and puts them back in the same place
The second pull is 578 - 4236 - 2598 - 1699
She picks them up to move them, but they always end up back at here first placement.
She then end on 578 - 4236 - 2598 - 1699

So she did.  When I watched it the first time, I thought she switched the two numbers, which was "confirmed" when I read the recap for the show.

That may well have been the worst playing of Race Game I've ever seen.  I'm honestly not sure Kelly was even aware of where her hands were moving on her second turn -- it looked like she genuinely believed she'd changed those two prices (as I think most of us did) when, in fact, she hadn't.  That whole thing was just unbelievably bad.
