I like Stump the Schwab. It's a great sports-themed game show, probably the best game show ESPN ever made. But Wheel...it's one of the quintessential play-along game shows, one of the real classic long-runners. Some might say too long, or that perhaps it could use with a new host. And it's been on so long that it's almost become something to parody, I feel. But it has enough pull to give Schwab what it expected for winning a play-in game: a quick exit from the tournament. Wheel of Fortune 8-3
I've never been a fan of The Newlywed Game. I can't put my finger on why, whether it's the hosting, or just the format. But it doesn't strike me as particularly good, just memorable for the various gaffes/entendres that get thrown about. Gambit...I hadn't seen this until just now, only having seen Catch 21 before, but I like the stakes, I like the idea of a blackjack-themed game show (casino-themed shows just seem to be something I like, such as High Rollers), and of course, Wink Martindale. (For clarification, I do think I like the format of Gambit better than Catch 21, though I don't get the hate for the latter, but I won't expound further after the clarification by Jordanar18.) Now it's only an 8-9 matchup, but it's time for an upset. Gambit 9-2
