My two cents:

Five Price Tags: Finally, all 4 SP's right! And with 3 "false" guesses, too! And what a win!
Squeeze Play: Good win.
Swap Meet: Tough break. 'Nuff said.
Stack the Deck: Ouch! He almost had it! I knew the 2nd number was 8, but the last number was tricky to me. I would've guessed 4. But at least he compensated by winning his far-superior Showcase, including a WWP sailboat and a trip to Santa Barbara! (I don't see any problem with a contestant winning a sailboat after not winning an automobile in their Pricing Game)
Check Game: Finally, another win!
Double Cross: Too bad. I would've guessed $4K on the refrigerator myself.

Showcases: If the 2nd Showcase included a Chevrolet Sonic hatchback instead of the sedan, I would've considered the WWP Showcase the better Showcase (because I'm not a subcompact-car person), but since the Sonic in this SC was the sedan, I think both Showcases are equally great.

Today's show was better than Monday's or yesterday's (barely, when it comes to the latter). Here's hoping tomorrow will be even better.

Nice win on Five Price Tags for Alex, especially considering the SPs weren't the easiest in the world.

Stack the Deck was business as usual.  Bleh.  Even if Deric had gotten all three pairs correct (and assuming he would have picked the last number for free), it still would have left him with a choice of 6 or 8 for the 2nd digit, of which I think most people would've picked 6 since Yarises (Yarii?) tend to be thought of as cheapo cars.

Double Cross was pretty tough.  I don't think most people would price a refrigerator at $4K+.

Showcases were tough as well.  I underbid by about $5K on the 1st one and was over by $4K on the second.  I guess trips to Costa Rica aren't all that expensive.

On the positive side, Drew's hosting was outstanding today, and I liked watching almost all the contestants (the one exception being Razmig--seriously, can whoever is coordinating contestants tell them they don't need to put their mouth right up to the mic and scream to be heard?)

5PT: First SP sweep in this game in over four yrs.! Like the last time, the car was won on the 2nd guess!

SP: I thought the 2nd 9 needed to be removed.

SM: I would've won w/ the rowing machine.

StD: Like the playing from two wks. ago, having the middle three digits revealed would've been awfully nice. The second digit was really needed for free today.

Check: I had a feeling it was won after $2,700 was written down.

DC: Fairly easy, because of the -95 rule on the Elmira Stove Works stuff.

Showcases: I wish Selena had lowered her bid by $2K.

Good show today in comparison to the previous two this week.

THE BAD NEWS:

Swap Meet: That was a cinch.......Too bad Razmig didn't pick the pilates machine.

DX: The Elmira fridge strikes again. Basically, that was set-up to be won.

Stack The Deck: And the futility has lingered all to the next season (unless we can squeeze in another playing).....And the price of the popcorn was highway robbery. After that reveal, the whole crowd went silent. The only thing that was missing was some crickets chirping.  :P Well, Deric was another Car Loser/Boat Winner.

THE GOOD NEWS:

5PT: That was one hell of a sweep for Alexander! You can tell he was a LFAT for getting all those SPs right.......Great job by him!

Squeeze Play: Well done by Selean!

Check Game: I was afraid that Alex would guess too high on the motorscooters........But that was a pretty close win!

THE BOTTOM LINE:

So far, today was a whole lot better than the last two craptastic shows this week. Also, Drew's hosting was pretty good. However, George was trying too hard with his surfer accent.

Such a great win today in Five Price Tags, and near-perfect (if only he would have chosen the correct car price on the first try) :-).   Awesome to see all four small prizes won in this game, as I think "true or false" is tougher than "higher or lower".

5 Price Tags: Today's contestant was an awesome player. Anyone who can 4 for 4 on the SPs in this game is dealing man. Bit of a different setup having 3 falses in there. Also what was up with George calling the deep fryer a health machine and Drew going along with it. Frying is 1 of the unhealthiest ways of preparing food. How could anyone believe a deep fryer to be a "health machine". That made no sense whatsoever. On the other hand The Dodge Dart looked beautiful on television in it's royal blue and It's great it was won. I was thinking either the $18K range or the $19K range so I'd have won today and in fact I'd probably have picked the $18K 1st.

Squeeze Play: Nice win of a nice canary islands trip.

Swap Meet: 13.3 inches and only 4G RAM? :( On the other hand the TV was a nice prize. I knew that gas grill had to be more expensive than that damn low specs laptop. Contestant forced loss.

Stack the Deck: It came down the thousands digit. Today's contestant used his free picks wisely and with no 2 on the board the 1 was obvious for the 10000s digit. Seeing how he guessed that 9 right at the end it came down to pricing the Toyota Yaris. I would have won this under these conditions but picking the 6 isn't an unreasonable guess for a Yaris. (Intuitively I expect Yarises to be in the $17K range so............) Ashamed the Toyota Yaris wasn't won.

Check Game: Great win and the majority of the possible money won as well. $2700 was a great guess.

Double Cross: Could've gone either way. Too bad the nice Elmira Stove Works  fridge wasn't won.

Showcases: The Chevy Sonic showcase was the better showcase and it's unfortunate it wasn't won.

Lineup: Good. Now I'm a fan of 3 of the games (5 Price Tags,Check Game, and and Double Cross.) I'm not a fan of 3 of the games (Squeeze Play,Swap Meet, and Stack the Deck.) So why didn't I say mixed? Well what elevates this lineup to being good is that % Price Tags is 1 of the best possible lead off hitters and Double Cross is a really fun closer. A quality game 1st and a quality game 6th makes for a good lineup.

Overall: 3 wins and a GREAT 5 Price Tags playing with that beautiful Dodge Dart being won made this a good show today. But George,Drew,a deep fryer is NOT a "health machine."
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.

...

But George,Drew,a deep fryer is NOT a "health machine."

I think you missed the joke. It was sarcasm on their part, as deep fryers are quite possibly the complete opposite of healthy. That was why George, Drew, and Gwendolyn were all laughing during it.
