Not too bad of a show today. Some definite "highs and lows" though.

Let 'Em Roll: I also would have been wrong about the peanut butter cups, and I would have stopped in her situation as well.

Do The Math: A win! (For both he and I).

Bonkers: Very good job explaining the game, Drew. And a win on the second try.

Any Number: So close. Such a disappointing loss.

Double Prices: Nice win.

1/2 Off: Down to a coin flip. Another disappointing loss (the contestant did so well with the pricing!).

And now, for better or worse, bring on Season 43! :)

Today's show was actually rather decent. I've been suffering from rerun blues so it was very refreshing to see a new episode today. While it was somewhat average, Do the Math had a nice big payout and it was nice to see that Bonkers was played properly and won rather quickly.

At least we had more wins with this special.

THE BAD NEWS:

A#: At least Wyatt has enough money to buy 2 McDoubles and a drink (Not enough for fries).

1/2 Off: Surprised that all the winning prizes were at the left. Shame that Deanna lost on that..........At least, she won her SC.

THE NOT-SO-BAD NEWS:

Let 'Em Roll: Never thought that a seldom-seen bailout would happen, not even on the first try. And normally, Reese's tend to be a tad steep. Mike must had a change of heart, I guess.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Do The Math: Easy setup and win, especially with those Elmira appliances.

Bonkers: Good job by Kayla!

Double Prices: Damitra had a nice win........Wasn't aware that the moped would be expensive.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

All-in-all, today was average, but at least it wasn't like past Back To School specials.........So that was good to know. Although, I was flabbergasted when Jacob bid $180 on a smartphone.

On well, on to Season 43 now. Start the countdown!

Road geek you need to correct the showcase differences. You have it showing that there was a tie.

Also has anyone else noticed that it seems like Do The Math is played every other episode?

Let em Roll: While it's ashamed that the Toyota Corolla wasn't won I think today's contestant did the smart thing in bailing at $3500. There's a very good chance rolling again would have led to less. I too was caught off guard by the cheap Reese's. I would have  2 rolls.

Do the Math: Clearly setup to be won. Some nice kitchen stuff won.

Bonkers: Well played by today's contestant and a nice Costa Rica trip won. That's how to play Bonkers people.

Any Number: Unfortunate that the Honda wasn't won. But at least the game gave some good suspense with it coming down to the last number.

Double Prices: I think this could have gone either way. Nice to see a win.

1/2 Off: This is why I don't like 1/2 Off. Today's contestant exhibited perfect pricing and didn't win. This is why 1/2 would be better with 4 sets of SPs. What a bummer of a way to end the 1 1st run show we get for awhile.

Showcases: Both showcases were good so as long as no overbid occurred we were fine. :)

Lineup: Average: Any Number and Do the Math are 2 of the best games on the show and Bonkers is pretty good. I don't care for luck based games and luck based games make terrible closers. Because 1/2 Off has such high letdown potential it is not a good closer. In today's lineup I'd have flip flopped the slotting and p played 1/2 Off 3rd and Bonkers 6th.

Overall: An average lineup and 3 wins but no car game wins make this show average.

The 42nd season flame is officially extinguished. Look forward to seeing season 43.
Adjustments that should be made to pricing games to make them fairer: Secret X: Add a 3rd SP so that perfect pricing ensures a win. 1/2 Off: Add a 4th set of SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Master Key: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win. Rat Race: Add 2 more SPs so that perfect pricing ensures a win.

The following pricing games should be retired because there's no way or no easy way to make them fair: Spelling Bee, Plinko, Punch a Bunch, Pass the Buck, Let em Roll, 3 Strikes.

The following retired pricing games should be revived: $uper $aver, Give or Keep, Buy or Sell, Hurdles, Bump, Penny Ante, Credit Card, On the Spot, Split Decision, Add em Up, Walk of Fame, Barker's Markers, Magic Number.
