I just noticed: the hair dryer that caused the painful loss in Bonus Game is the same as the one won in Switcheroo during Dream Car Week. I do agree that the treat maker was the trickier item, though.

OK, maybe I'm taking my waxing nostalgic way overboard, BUT...

...not seeing the Bonus Game board spin around on the turntable until after George gave the bonus prize description REALLY made me long for the old reveal.

 :-(

I'd prefer if they went back to lighting up the "NO" graphics on the non-winning windows in Bonus Game. Just lighting up the BONUS window comes across as a little bit fishy... especially when the BONUS window was the only one not won, like it was today.
To use your word, and I've posted this before, what comes across as a little bit fishy to me is the use of the display screen instead of the old incandescent lights. I know that by a standard the bonus is set before gameplay starts, but I just don't get the same feeling with a win OR a loss since the prop was redone. And with so many old-fashioned reveals still used on the show (Lucky $even, Coming or Going, Shell Game, Line 'Em Up, Grocery Game, Stack The Deck, others, & even the prices in Bonus), the bonus reveal feels out of place to me.

I also get the feeling that the classic turntable shot was dropped because of laziness; the thought might have been something like "Why set the shot up differently and ask Drew to explain the rules before the bonus prize is revealed for just this one game?"

Bonus Game used to be a favorite of mine, but not since these changes.

A little technical note: For some reason, the graphic templates for the PGs in the recap won't display in my Firefox browser (which is up to date), but they do get displayed in Chrome. Just a Firefox bug, perhaps?

Just tried it in IE10 and seeing the identical look to what Firefox has.

I'm not sure when the last time was, but I'm pretty sure they've used the reveal sometime in the last two seasons. Rich seemed to use it inconsistently, as did Dimmich when he took over. Can't say for sure that Adam has done it, but I feel as if he has at least once. In fact, after thinking about it, the original reveal was used last year during the debut of the Bonus Game modification. It was magnificent.

The classic reveal hasn't been used since the first taping of Bonus Game last season.
