Bidding Round #1- #175, Shellani! :-D

Bidding Round #2- #176, Amy! :-D

Showcase Showdown #1- A hottie in the Showcase by default! When's the last time it was that easy?

Ten Chances- Finally, someone who makes this game easy to watch. It helps that it was Amy, too.

Showcases- Who says hotties can't bid? Way to go, Shellani! :-)

BEST CONTESTANT OF THE DAY- A hottie wins it today... Shellani.

SHOW SUMMARY AND GRADE- Finally, a show that's better than average... Grade: 3

Spelling bee-Donna played spelling bee very good too bad she didn’t win the car

Coming or Going When shalline guess $4258 dollars had a feeling she had won

Grand game tough set up I thought it was either the dog food or the softener.

Ten Chances A nice way to start the second half.

2 for the price of 1 a nice win 963 Dollars WAS ALSO MY GUESS.

Double price a nice way to end the second half

Spelling Bee: Tough luck. I thought she would win after getting the first R.

Coming or Going: Easy.

Grand Game: When he didn't pick the dog food on the last pick, I had a feeling he had lost all the money.

Ten Chances: Good, but not great, playing.

Two for the Price of One: Yvonne played this very well! And won a truck to boot!

Double Prices: A birthday boy wins here!

Showcases: I thought the red Caliber was going to be the RT one. I thought Yvonne had won. If Shillane had won, I was hoping it would be a DSW. Oh well.

Overall: Very good show today!

Spelling Bee: When she got that R I thought for a moment she had the car. Terrible luck there.

Coming Or Going: If it were a trip in Asia yes it would be $8254 but this is Mexico here. Obvious choice of "going" there.

Grand Game: There were many softeners, detergents and/or bleaches that have been less. Not that Downey unfortunately. It was more than $6.00 that is. I knew Douglas would lose by picking that.

Ten Changes: Very nicely played there by Amy.

2 For The Price Of 1: I would pick the last digit for free as well. Well done Yvonne for winning both the sofa and the truck.

Double Prices: I do believe the bottom price was the one last time this game was played. This time it was the top one. A great birthday present for Harry.

SS #2: I wanted an all hottie showcase had Amy won.
There was a funny part in this here but I can't really recall what it was. Perhaps someone would elaborate on this.

Showcases: I guess it looks like they're running out of very expensive automobiles lately. Quite shocked that even though the second showcase had a car the first one cost more than the second. I had a feeling that grand piano was in the five digit price.

PG #1:  I thought for sure Donna had that car once the "A" and "R" were revealed.  Bad luck there.

PG #2:  Not very often we see Coggy in the first half, much less in the second slot.  Another ridiculously easy Coggy setup today.  No way that Puerto Vallarta was gonna be $8,000+.

PG #3:  Dang, that was EVIL!  That dog food and that big bottle of shampoo both had the potential to be over $6.00.

PG #4:  10C fourth again!  Keep 'em coming, Roger!  Despite a couple of guesses ending in 5, Amy played the game well.  The car was pretty easy.  There were only four possible prices for it:  $19,850, $19,580, $18,950, and $18,590.

PG #5:  Woohoo!  Annual playing of 241 for a vehicle!  :-D  Roger's in full form today.  When was the last time 241 was played 5th?

Showcase #2:  Yay!  Showcase '83!  :-P

My showcase bids:
Random room/piano--$19,060
Car--$20,030
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

This show was good--a step up from other past shows.

Spelling Bee: Donna got tripped up on the first SP.  As for her picks--NOT very lucky.  Tough break.

Coming or Going: Mexico trips are very cheap--going is the only option.  Well done Shellani.

Grand Game: THANKS A LOT, AUDIENCE!!!  The audience was screaming "SOFTNER!"  I screamed, "No, DON'T pick the Downey!"  When Douglas picked the Downey, that spelled D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R.  My pick was the Cortaid and I would have lost too.  I'm very disappointed in the Peanut Gallery costing Douglas big time.  On the other hand, Roger's setup of Grand Game was DIFFICULT.

SCSD 1: Shellani wins by default!  Tough break for Donna and Douglas.

Ten Chances---Despite some stupid mistakes on Chances 1 and 4---Amy played it pretty well.

2 for the Price of 1: My hunch was 963 too.  Yvonne won!  Way to make Surprise Arizona proud!!!

Double Prices: Harry picked the top, I picked bottom.  Harry won!  Shows how much I know about beds...oh well.

Showcases: I underestimated both Yvonne and Shellani's bids.  Shellani comes out on top with over $26,000 in prizes.  Yvonne still won a truck no matter what.

Pretty good show today. I could have done without seeing Double Prices 6th, but then that's just me.

Spelling Bee: That was heartbreaking. Even with just 4 cards I thought she was in good shape after starting out with the R. Too bad.

Coggy: 2nd? Very easy today.

Grand: This was downright evil/tricky.

10C: Yet another car game in the 4th spot. Y'know, we used to not see car games in this slot and used to have 'em in the 6, now its the other way around. It seems like forever since the car game has been sixth.BTW, Amy played this very well.

2F1: 5th???? Has this ever been played fifth? And for a truck too. Sweet.

Showcases: You don't see that everyday: two excellent bids.

DP: **Sigh**

Spelling Bee: I thought for Sure that Donna Won with an A and R pulled.  I feel bad for her.

CoG: There is no way that trip or any Mexican trip would run into the $8000 range.

Grand Game: Tricky, for any of the products would be under $6.

Ten Chances: Great Playing by Amy, even though some of her guesses were a bit dumb.

2FTPO1: 5th?!  Amazing. And now way was that Sofa would be $400.

SC: 2 great bids on 2 tricky Showcases, something you don't find daily.

I was in attendance at this show.

Yeah, during the Grand Game I was the only person in the audience screaming DOG FOOD! and when he picked the Downy, everyone around me turned in my direction as to say, how did this guy know that!

***One other thing that no one will have heard about unless you were at the show. During one of the commercial breaks, an audience member asked Bob: "How come you don't have those shots of contestants before you go to commercial any more?"

Of course, Bob didn't have an answer so he actually looked at Roger and told him to follow up on that.

The next segment began, and at the next commercial break, Bob reports to the audience that: "Roger has looked into it and they're going to bring it back". This put the crowd into a frenzy as we were all thanking Roger who took a bow for us.
(A lot of people in the audience probably had no clue as to what we were talking about - but being a crowd, we all do things together haha)

Now, the question I have is...Will this really happen or was it just something to make us feel like we actually got them to make a change, simply on the request of the audience? Time will tell...so keep watching future shows to see what happens!

Wow sizeman, you made a lucky guess on Grand Game.  I would NEVER have guessed the Dog Food--I picked the Cortaid.

Great show today! Bob was terrific as always!

Spelling Bee: Tough loss! I thought she had it.

Coggy: Wow 2nd! Easy win.

Grand Game: I knew the Downey was $6.99 from an earlier show, so I knew the Beneful was the one to pick.

Ten Chances: A little worried at first but a nice win nevertheless.

241: Nicely played! I would have asked for the 2nd # since Rich said the total was $15,503 and the 3 was a choice for that last digit. Still she pulled it off and is my choice for best contestant today!

Double Prices: Glad he got himself a new bed!!! (Loved his interaction with Bob in the 2nd SCSD!)

2 great bids today on the showcases. Best episode of the week thus far.

Ok did anyone notice on the 4th round of one bids did Bob announce that there was an overbid before the buzzer sounded?  Are they doing something off stage now so he doesn't plow on right through the buzzer?

Spelling Bee-Ouch, a painful loss!  It seems as if she was mouthing $15 for the mug before she finally said $17.  If only she would've kept with $15, she might have gotten a C and won.  Oh well, what might have been.

Coming or Going-Wow, very interesting to see this played so early.  Being the price of the trip was that, I was thinking it was a replacement for Check Game.  Anyway, playing was great and easy!

Grand Game-I wonder when was the last time someone has actually bailed out with $1000 in this game.  I've never seen anyone do it.  I figured the dog food was less.

Ten Chances-Amy played this game really well.

2 for 1-Well, it sure was a surprise to see 2 for 1 played for a vehicle today!  It's a 3-car day!

Double Prices-Very nicely played.

Showcases-Very great bids!
