My two cents:

Switch: Piece of cake win, for 2 trips!
Card Game: Tough luck. If he'd drawn a face card instead of that 3, he'd have won by the skin of his teeth.
Hi-Lo: Tough break. I knew the eye shadow was expensive, but I didn't expect it to be just a dollar more than the stain remover.
Easy as 1-2-3: Self-explanatory. And he got a DSW!
Money Game: Well, you don't see that every day.
Plinko: $12K! What a haul!

Showcases: Both Showcases were equally amazing with awesome prizes (especially the party boat and that Mustang!), but it's even more fun to see them BOTH won!

What a show!

Today's Joseph was thankfully the polar opposite of his infamous namesake from 2008.   :P

An excellent show today without question, with the only downer being the close Card Game loss.

S?: Easy, because Puerto Rico isn't a cheap place.

Card: If that last card Troy drew was a 10 or face card, he would've won w/ exactly the range he needed; not sure if that's ever happened before.

H-L: I thought the Bounty was the last of the top three expensive products because there were 200 napkins.

Eazy: The winning arrangement was the same as mine.

MG: At long last, the Anniversary Trick returns & wins!

P!: Kristen didn't need that 5th chip to hit the big one.

Showcases: Likely our last DSW of the season!

Great show to begin this wk.!

A solid show today, with all the games very winnable (except for Plinko, of course, lol). Both stage players bid very well on the showcase, even though Allison ended up with the HEELS rather than the DSW as Joseph was able to accomplish. That -571 ending though... if Torgo played CSS today, I predict a painful WSD for him.

Ooooh, nice little reference to Manuela's 5PT incident when her 1-2-3 sign wouldn't cooperate. "Manuela, what's with you and..."

Haven't seen the top-center "season" card be the Money Game winner in ages. When was the last time? Season 40 maybe?

And the only thing better than DSW shoes is...well, you fill in the blank.

Maybe as a nod to Flag Day, which was yesterday?

I'll answer my own question, actually...

It would appear this was taped on the same day as the 4th of July special. Either this was taped first and they were already preparing for the special during the last act of this show, or somebody screwed up and reverted back to the colors from the previously taped special.

Hi,

I'm generally more of a supporter of Drew's hosting, especially in more recent years, but..........

I DESPISE the way he reveals DSWs!  So bland.  It usually seems like it's not even clear to the contestant what's happened, because he eventually says 'double showcase', which an already confused contestant might not even understand.

I know he's not Bob and shouldn't duplicate Bob, but this is not a Bob thing... ANY host of TPIR must reveal DSWs as Bob did: Pause at the thousands digit, crescendoing voice for the rest, for a difference of X.... points... you win BOTH showcases!!

  C'mon man.

-Jeff
