F-F: Easy.

IitBB: I only had the $2.99 bag wrong- this close to likely our last $16K win here this season.

TTMS: It should've been renamed That's Too Much Work- I would've stopped one price too soon. Hopefully they'll offer a Camaro or Mustang Conv. in 3 Strikes.

Balance Game: Even though I knew the total price, I had a bad feeling about Shirley.

1RP: Although $5299 was the key price & there was a pair of motorscooters, $5299 sounded way too much for the accessories, so this was an easy playing.

sea shell game: Easier playing than I thought- Benjamin only needed the first chip to win that automobile!

Showcases: Thank goodness Charles wasn't over like I thought he was.

Better August show than it has been the past few yrs.

THE BOGUS NEWS:

That's Too Much Sun: Truth in advertising today with that sexed-up Camaro...No way that was gonna be won if they were bringing that out.

Balance Game (with special guest Hans from Cliffhangers in surfer gear): I guess Drew should've known that rubbing contestants on the back doesn't result in good luck...I mean, they're not expensive cars.  :P At least Shirley tried and got $500. Sucks that Hans wiped out.  :oldlol:

THE NOT AS BOGUS BUT AT LEAST IT'S NOT, LIKE, TOTALLY BOGUS NEWS:

It's In The Beach Bag: Pretty decent setup, but I think Misty got a little skittish over the cookies. But $8500 is nothing to sneeze at.

THE TOTALLY AWESOME NEWS:

Flip Flops: Easy win for Charles! And a good SC bid and win!

One Righteous Price: Ditto for Marcy!

Sea Shell Game: Joshua got the Versa but too bad he didn't get the bonus, (no) thanks to the inflator. Still, a win is a win.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

This was a pretty good make-good and Shell Game sure did this lineup around...And in August, no less! Sad to hear about Devin DeGruyl's passing, even though I didn't know him as much. RIP Devin.

Well, see you in two weeks (and one day) to find out why the other episode got pushed back...I'm pretty sure it might had to do with Nepal.

THE BOGUS NEWS:

That's Too Much Sun: Truth in advertising today with that sexed-up Camaro...No way that was gonna be won if they were bringing that out.
Just as likely as any other car to be won/lost. Just not today (probably the transmission).

My two cents:

Flip Flops: Great win, and great contestant! For a moment, I thought he overbid. Boy, was that a close one!
It's in the Beach Bag: Ouch! That's gotta hurt, bailing out when you could've actually won the big one. But at least she got $8,500 ($8K from the game, $500 for the perfect One-Bid).
That's Too Much Sun: Tough break. 'Nuff said.
Balance Game: ROFL at the Yodely Guy falling off his board! Tough break in the game, though. But at least Shirley got $500 for the perfect One-Bid.
One Righteous Price: Piece of cake!
Sea Shell Game (for a car!): What a win! He had it won on with the first chip!

Showcases: I pretty much prefer a party boat over a subcompact Yaris.

Overall, great special!

BTW, my deepest condolences to Devin de Gruyl's family. I shall miss his recapping. RIP, Devin.

That's Too Much Sun: If that Camaro convertible had manual transmission, I'm sure Sandra would've won.

How does that make sense?
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

What a pricy car to have on Thats Too Much, Im used to seeing the cheapo econo cars. Guess they spent so much on it that they couldnt use high quality materials to keep him attached the the balance thing in the Balance Game.

I had it way wrong in seeing the show's promo where i predicted balance game, its in the bag, and that's too much would come up in the 1-3 slots, it went 2-3-4.

A good show, all the games were well played, a 3 for 6 day is not bad at all. Surprised a Camaro would find its way in that's too much, being priced the way it did, it could have seen the light of day in 3 strikes (a camaro 1LT is nice). a lot could have contributed to the loss of the very pricy camaro, $36,130.... I've seen them sell way higher than that.

It was a nice touch to rename the games after parts of a beach or beachwear in the case of flip flop. Showcases were well presented, at least there was no OB or DOB, what's been the most for a showcase to overbid by or double overbid by in the course of a season?

I'm sorry but...what?

Come on. Even through your consistent passive aggressive condescension, I think you could tell what he meant: that the show could not afford a quality adhesive to keep Yodely Guy affixed to Balance Game's prop, a lack of funds probably perpetrated by them "spending money" on the Camaro 1LT in That's Too Much!.

I mean, that's a logical fallacy and untrue in multiple ways, but you know what he was trying to say.

I know I'm coming in absurdly late here (I literally just got done watching this episode), but the accident in Balance Game was hilarious.  That seems like the kind of thing the current staff might want to edit out and redo because it didn't go according to plan, so I was really glad they left it in and were able to have some spontaneous fun with it.

Also, somebody actually rehearsed That's Too Much!!  Yay!  :oldlol:
