Season 1, Fireball EraNovember 9, 2012 -- Promoted from the Lingerie League -- A reference to many of the NFL's replacement referees coming from the so-called "lingerie league". This also references BRB_TheFireball's promotion from FPG player to FPG host/moderator after the retirement of longtime host FPGWillyT.
November 16, 2012 -- Swaggfest -- The name of a concert in Tennessee that Fireball attended that weekend.
November 21, 2012 -- As God Is My Witness, I Thought Turkeys Could Fly -- A reference to a famous Thanksgiving episode of "WKRP in Cincinnati".
December 14, 2012 -- Christmahanukwanzaakah -- A fictional all-inclusive holiday created by Virgin Mobile.
December 21, 2012 -- Bork the Mayans -- The end of the world supposedly predicted by the Mayans hundreds of years ago.
January 11, 2013 -- Jeff Idelson -- The president of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. That week, no players were inducted to Cooperstown.
January 18, 2013 -- Meredith's Final Answer -- Meredith Vieira announced her retirement after 11 years as host of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"
January 25, 2013 -- Too Many Harbaughs -- Brothers John and Jim Harbaugh competed against each other as coaches of the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
February 11, 2013 -- Christmas in February -- A spoof of the phrase "Christmas in July". A Christmas week episode of TPIR was rescheduled for that week.
February 15, 2013 -- Vatican's Next Top Model -- A spoof of the long-running reality competition "America's Next Top Model". Also a reference to Pope Benedict XVI announcing his surprise retirement earlier that week, which set off a new papal election.
February 22, 2013 -- Sonny with a Chance of Sandbags -- A spoof of the children's book and film "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs". Also a reference to Demi Lovato, star of Disney Channel's "Sonny with a Chance", who was the special celebrity player on that episode of TPIR.
March 8, 2013 -- Yet Another Frickin' Gimmick Week -- The first contestant of each episode to win their pricing game received a $20,000 bonus for absolutely no reason at all.
March 15, 2013 -- Sistine Seagull -- A seagull famously perched on the chimney of the Sistine Chapel while the papal election was in progress.
March 29, 2013 -- Jokers Gone Wild -- A spoof of the video series "Girls Gone Wild". Fireball introduced a one-time FPG gimmick for April Fools that allowed players to pick a seventh pricing game as a "joker", provided that their "joker" was a key game.
April 26, 2013 -- David Henneberry -- The owner of the boat where Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev hid from the authorities.
Season 2, Fireball EraNovember 4, 2013 -- Screw the NBA, Let's Pick Some PGs -- The 2013-14 NBA season started on the same day as the 2013-14 FPG season.
November 15, 2013 -- I Could Never Take the Place of Your Congressman -- A spoof of the 1987 Prince song "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man". Also a reference to several Republican U.S. House members announcing their retirements in the previous week.
November 22, 2013 -- Lead Me Not Into Temptation for a Porsche -- A reference to Matthew 6:13: "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil". Also a reference to the pricing game Temptation being played for a Porsche that week.
December 4, 2013 -- Fire Rhett Ellison -- The Minnesota Vikings tight end singlehandedly cost his team a win against the Chicago Bears. During the fourth quarter, Ellison dropped an easy touchdown pass and later committed a face mask penalty that negated a field goal.
December 13, 2013 -- Love That Bob -- A reference to the 1950s sitcom originally known as "The Bob Cummings Show". Also a reference to Bob Barker's return to TPIR for his 90th birthday.
January 2, 2014 -- Sheree Blows the Budget -- A $1,000,000 edition of FPG because that week included a perfect show and a contestant named Sheree winning a $157,300 Audi in Gas Money.
January 17, 2014 -- Red Warrior Shot the Food -- A reference to the popular 1980s video game "Gauntlet". The task of predicting pricing games can often be equated to running a gauntlet.
January 31, 2014 -- Where Have All the FPG Players Gone -- A spoof of the Pete Seeger/Joe Hickerson song "Where Have All the Flowers Gone". Fireball lamented that week that he never had as many FPG players as Willy did "back in the good old days of FPG".
February 3, 2014 -- Justin Bieber Deportation Petition -- An actual petition requesting that Justin Bieber be deported to Canada was sent to the White House earlier that week.
February 14, 2014 -- Nothing But Curling -- The start of the Winter Olympics on NBC means only one thing for Fireball: NBC = Nothing But CURLING!
February 21, 2014 -- Henrik Harlaut -- The Swedish freestyle skier who is famous for wearing super-baggy sagging ski pants during competition.
February 28, 2014 -- Annual Oscar Memoriam Controversy -- Anticipation of who would be unceremoniously omitted from the Academy Awards' "In Memoriam" segment for film people who had passed away in the previous year.
March 27, 2014 -- Fighting Like Cats and Cards -- A spoof of the idiom "fighting like cats and dogs". The Kentucky Wildcats and the Louisville Cardinals--the previous two NCAA champions--competed against each other in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three seasons.
April 3, 2014 -- Cheeteau Perfume -- An April Fools joke product by Frito-Lay, the makers of Cheetos.
April 11, 2014 -- UConn Screws Firey Again -- For the second time in four seasons, The Connecticut Huskies defeated the Kentucky Wildcats in the NCAA Tournament, effectively giving Fireball yet another second-place finish in Golden-Road.net's annual bracket pool.
April 25, 2014 -- Steamy Ray Vaughn -- A spoof on the name of legendary guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughn. This was Randy Marsh's first musical alter ego on "South Park", with "steamy" often being an adjective used to describe a pile of feces.
May 2, 2014 -- He Didn't Survive an American Game Show Either -- Donnell Pitman, the runner-up of the first season of ABC's "I Survived a Japanese Gameshow", was a contestant on TPIR earlier that week.
May 9, 2014 -- Mr. Tiggles -- John Oliver's suggestion for a logo for the National Security Agency--a kitten in a pink rubber boot.
May 15, 2014 -- Firey's Birthday -- Fireball turned 34 on that day, which prompted him to offer a $515,000 bonus to anybody who could score exactly 5 MP/15 CP.
May 23, 2014 -- Total Recalls -- A spoof of the classic Arnold schwarzenegger film "Total Recall". Also a reference to General Motors announcing the recall of tens of millions of its vehicles earlier that week.
May 30, 2014 -- G-R's Funniest Home Videos -- To honor his QSW in the 2014 CSS Playoffs, Fireball offered a $100,000 bonus to whoever submitted the best one-line joke.
Season 3, Fireball EraOctober 17, 2014 -- Pair of Wankers -- Gino Corr, who uttered that infamous line on a 1991 episode of the long-running British quiz show "Countdown", passed away earlier that week.
October 24, 2014 -- Glitter Pony Dance-Off -- A fictional children's series requested by an impatient little girl in a famous commercial for the Dish Network Hopper.
November 14, 2014 -- David Blows the G Rating -- A contestant named David made a rude gesture for the clue "Deep Throat" on an episode of "Celebrity Name Game" earlier that week.
November 21, 2014 -- Jell-O Pudding Flops -- A reference to the results of the previous FPG, one of the lowest scoring games in FPG history. Also a reference to numerous women accusing beloved TV dad Bill Cosby of sexual misconduct.
December 19, 2014 -- Using Both Hands -- A recurring joke during the second annual Game Show Extravganza, which took place earlier that month on Livestream and Skype.
December 24, 2014 -- Let's F*** with the North Koreans -- The controversial film "The Interview" was released digitally by Sony Pictures that weekend, as many theaters refused to show it.
December 26, 2014 -- Non-Filthy Non-Dirty Saints -- Fireball's unsuccessful attempt to troll moneygavelover, who often refers to the New Orleans Saints as "filthy [and] dirty" after the long-gone Bountygate scandal.
January 5, 2015 -- Grimm's Fraudy Tales -- A spoof of "Grimm's Fairy Tales". Also a reference to congressman Michael Grimm (R-NY), who was charged with tax fraud earlier that week.
January 9, 2015 -- Nighttimier -- A word made up by Drew Carey in a promotion for his guest-hosting stint on "The Late Late Show" before James Corden took over as the new host.
January 16, 2015 -- Howard Beale -- Peter Finch, who won a posthumous Oscar for the iconic role of free-speaking news anchor Howard Beale in "Network", died that week in 1977.
February 5, 2015 -- Haranguin' with Mr. Cooper -- A spoof of the ABC sitcom "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper". Also a reference to Fireball's passionate speech about the infamous Russell Wilson pass that led to an end-zone interception in the final minutes of Super Bowl XLIX.
February 13, 2015 -- Skeeter Valentine's Day -- The traditional February 14 holiday was humorously changed to celebrate a supporting character on the classic Nickelodeon cartoon "Doug".
February 20, 2015 -- RIP Jon Lovitz -- A running joke during the "Saturday Night Live" 40th anniversary special, which aired earlier that week.
February 27, 2015 -- Prosthetic Anus -- An actual bill introduced in Montana's state legislature earlier that week would "make it illegal to don a costume... which includes a prosthetic anus".
March 6, 2015 -- Lion Wall or Water Wall? -- The question asked by Victoria Coren Mitchell at the beginning of the third round of the popular British quiz show "Only Connect".
March 13, 2015 -- Popsicle Twins -- A reference to one of the most infamous acts to appear on "The Gong Show", as "Gong Show" regular Gene Gene the Dancing Machine passed away earlier that week.
April 3, 2015 -- They Cut Cheese, We Cut Nets -- Fireball's six-word explanation on why the Kentucky Wildcats would beat the Wisconsin Badgers for the second year in a row in the NCAA Final Four.
April 10, 2015 -- Badgers Against Humanity -- Fireball played Cards Against Humanity to answer the question of why the Kentucky Wildcats really lost against the Wisconsin Badgers.
April 17, 2015 -- Jimmy Kimmel Live! -- After the controversial Cards Against Humanity FPG recap, Fireball openly referenced the long-running Jimmy Kimmel sketch "This Week in Unnecessary Censorship".
May 1, 2015 -- Hogan's Zeroes -- A spoof of the classic CBS sitcom "Hogan's Heroes". Also a reference to Maryland governor Larry Hogan and his handling of the murder of Freddie Gray by Baltimore Police.
May 15, 2015 -- #SociallyAnxious -- A spoof of TPIR's #SociallyAwesome Week. Fireball unsuccessfully tried to get one of his Twitter tweets to air during TPIR, particularly during his birthday.
May 22, 2015 -- Dave's Farewell -- David Letterman's final TV appearance.
Season 4, Fireball EraOctober 23, 2015 -- Cardinal Sins --
Breaking Cardinal Rules, a book published earlier that month, alleged that author Katina Powell and other escorts were paid by the University of Louisville to have sex with recruits and players of its basketball team.
October 30, 2015 -- It's the Great Pumpkin, Donald Trump! -- A spoof of the classic TV movie "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" The title also noted the resemblance of Donald Trump's head to a pumpkin.
November 6, 2015 -- Royal Ass-Whupping -- The Kansas City Royals beat the New York Mets, 4 games to 1 game, to win the 2015 World Series earlier that week.
November 20, 2015 -- Pricerwang -- A spoof of Numberwang, the classic series of game show parodies on the British comedy series "That Mitchell and Webb Look". Numberwang was notorious for its complicated and unexplained rules, much like FPG.
December 11, 2015 -- To Pimp a Sandbag -- A spoof of the Kendrick Lamar album "To Pimp a Butterfly". Earlier that week, Lamar received 11 Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year.
