OBIT - Abe Vigoda (for real)
« on: January 26, 2016, 02:24:20 PM »
Well, it had to happen eventually. The butt of many jokes since People magazine goofed in 1982 about false death, Abe Charles Vigoda has died on January 26 in his sleep at the age of 94. Famed for his character work and playing Fish in Barney Miller, he also played the old cook at Good Burger in the 1997 eponymous film.

May he finally be at peace and we can finally confirm, Abe Vigoda is not alive.

94 is a nice ripe old age.  He brought joy to many people, including me, and will continue doing so thanks to reruns on Antenna TV and networks similar to those :)

I cannot believe it took 34 years for his death to finally occur after all those endless jokes! (especially the one where someone told him "You look like Abe Vigoda, but you can't be Abe Vigoda because he's dead")

R.I.P. Abe Vigoda
