3 way tie? Over $100,000? No one plays in Final Jeopardy?

Hmmm.....it comes on here at 4:30 Central here...I'll be watching....

You mean it's something even Ken Jennings couldn't do?

A couple of guesses:

- the other two contestants have $0 or a negative amount, therefore one contestant automatically wins without playing Final Jeopardy.  (Perhaps only one contestant ever answers the "answers")

- As mentioned, a 3-way tie at the end.

- All 3 contestants have negative scores at the end, therefore nobody plays Final Jeopardy.

I don't watch Jeopardy usually (I did for the Ken Jennings run) but I will watch today's episode, same time as you Punchboard91 - I'm from Omaha, too!

Woo! Go Omaha! :-)

However, one person has played FJ alone.....there's a video on GameShowNewsNet.

I also remember at least two other instances that someone has played Final Jeopardy! alone.

I have a good feeling that ratings are going to go through the roof once this episode is going to be shown.

It comes on here at 1230pm central time, then again at 430, so I wonder if the 12:30 is a rerun from another day. I don't watch jeopardy, but I will try to remember to watch it.

J! airs on my CBS affiliate, therefore it won't air tonight due to the NCAA tournament.  So it will lose ratings in the Birmingham market.

The ABC affiliate from Buffalo will carry it in our area at 7:30pm, but it will show CTV commericals as it also airs on CFTO from Toronto at the same time

There's a promo at Jeopardy's site. It doesn't tell what the event is but it appears to happen...

Not necessarily, that clip could be of the end of the show where Alex also uses a card with the final Jeopardy answer on it.

If you read the title of the original blog entry and take the spoiler information you can com up with a good guess.  I'm thinking Trebek makes a bad joke, or makes a freudian slip during the conestant interviews (a la Rayburn or Eubanks).

I was also thinking a marriage proposal, perhaps?

But with the current champion, I doubt it'd be something to do with no one in final jeopardy. I'm still leaning toward a 3 way tie....

Mark Evanier's site points out the address of the video clip at the Jeopardy! site as a clue. It could also be a red herring. In our neck of the woods, we'll know in about an hour (we see the show at 4:30 PM on NBC affiliate WXIA/ch. 11).
