I hadn't really thought about this before, but the reality of death means that every day there are less people in the world than the day before.  In reality there are many more people in the world than this but for illustration: If one day there are 1000 people in the world and the next day 55 people die, now there are 945 people in the world. if 30 more die the next day now there are 915 people in the world. So we'll eventually become extinct as will all creatures as the same reality applies to dogs, cats, horses etc.

That Plinko was just a spectacular segment. I love when they do the slow-mo replays going to break and wish they'd do them more often. Harkens back to the old freeze-frame days.

What is it with this week of shows. Some fantastic shows so far with great wins and great contestants.

In fact, what is it with this season? Peep this:

- 4 Perfect Shows
- 2 Perfect One Aways
- 2 Perfect Pathfinders
- 2 Middle Row Secret X's

This is just insane and I love it. What a lovely quirky season we're having.

That Plinko playing was great. Especially that 2nd $10K hit. That chip definitely traversed both sides of the board before finding its way back to the center. And that replay going into break was great! I'm waiting, just waiting for someone to break the daytime record. I feel like we're so close. I'm not sure if it'll happen this season, but it's coming.

Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted, besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?
Alex Trebek: I'd have to say To Tell The Truth, because it was the first time in my career that I got to sit down while I was hosting.

Local article about a family who went to the show but were not called on down (!).

A couple of quotes from the article:

Quote
They traveled to California to visit her brother, Mike, who had to work the day of TPIR filming. (Yes, we are now acronym-ing The Price Is Right.)
We do this all the time. :P

Quote
Audience members can win prizes [in the gift shop] if they happen to buy a refreshment at the exact time "The Price Is Right" theme song blasts over the speakers. Through this promotion, Jacques' mom won a travel mug.
Apparently, this is relatively new.

Quote
Another contestant that day set a game record by winning $31,500 from the classic game Plinko.
Typo, or did they award $10k or a bonus chip because of a malfunction?

At first I thought it was a typo, but it does seem odd that they would call it out as a record.

Maybe they just remembered the total incorrectly.
