Hello, Tris here. I've been wanting to try recapping an old episode for some time and just never could find some free time to do it, until today. I'm excited to see what's in store with today's show and let's dive right in:

Here it comes, Television's Most Exciting Hour of Fantastic Prizes. The Fabulous Sixty Minute Price is Right.

Matthew Moore, Come on Down!
Janna Maychime, Come on Down!
Leonard Cleat, Come on Down!
and Linda Fareastlin, Come on Down!

You are the first four contestants on the Price is Right. And now here is the star of The Price is Right, Bob Barker!

IUFB #1: A new Tennis Machine (Lobster, 10 dozen tennis balls included).

Linda (I've seen this a million times): $900
Leonard: $1350
Janna: $750
Matthew: $1

ARP: $939

Linda's loyal watching pays off and said she came to the show twenty years ago and didn't make it. Well, I'm sure she'd like a NEW CAR, along with a curio floor clock  and a comfortable chair.

Broyhill Curio Clock
Interactive Health Ultimate Getaway Chair Massage Recliner (with advanced quad roller technology)
Dodge Neon Coupe (Seating for 5, Standard features, Dual remote exterior mirrors. California emissions)

Linda knows we're playing Master Key.

One key opens the curio, one the chair, one the car. There's also a dud key and a Master Key that opens all three prizes.

Here are the small prizes to help earn her some keys. She has to determine whether the first two or the last two digits make up the price of the item.

Scrabble game: 311

She thinks it's $11 and she is right. Takes key #2.

Interplak Conair Toothbrush: 960

She thinks it's $60 and that is correct. Takes key #4.

Key #2 is the dud, but there's one more key to go. Laura thinks Bob jinxed her, but he's not happy with that.

Key #4 opens the chair.

Pilar Diaz, Come on Down!

IUFB #2: Cellular Phone (PTR 870 from JRC)

Pilar: $350
Leonard: $375
Janna: $475
Matthew: $476

ARP: $530

Matthew comes up on stage and now has a chance to win a player piano (Casablanca from QRS music).

He can do this in Freeze Frame. All he needs to do is pull the lever when the right two segments are in frame.

Numbers are: 50 95 87 12 42 14 92 67

He stops the lever at $4214 and it's actually $6750, oh well, we'll see him at the Big Wheel.

Next up is Rhiannon Bangee, Come on Down!

IUFB #3: Victorian Dollhouse (two stories, custom made)

Rhiannon: $450
Pilar: $460
Leonard: $600
Janna: $601

ARP: $1130

Even if Janna didn't pay attention to the bids (asked for the other bids), she makes it up on stage and can win 2 prizes.

First we have a handsome cedar chest (Lane beautiful Morning Glory antique cedar chest, hand painted) and then we have a comfortable sofa (Alan White moss green).

She can win both these prizes if she can handle the Clock Game. She'll have 30 seconds to guess the right price for both items.

Cedar Chest:
$900 (L)
$800 (L)
$700 (L)
$600 (H)
$650 (H)
$670 (H)
$680 (L)
$685 (L?!)
$681 (L)
$670 (H)
$675 (H)
$680 (L)
$676 (Correct) 13 secs left

Sofa:
$1200 (L)
$1100 (L)
$1000 (L)
$900 (H)
$950 (H)
$960 (H)
$970 (H)
$980 (H)
$990 (H)
$991... $999 (Correct!) 1 sec left

And now it's time for the first Showcase Showdown to see which of our contestant will head over to the showcases. They have to get as close to a dollar in one or two without going over. Whoever gets closest moves on.

Matthew starts with 0.50 and spins again. He'll add 0.40 to that for a total of 0.90.

Janna (who uses Clock Game to teach math) also gets 0.50 on her first spin. Her second spin is a 0.90 and that is too much.

Linda will start her run with a 0.25 (almost 0.90) and will add that 0.90 she needed earlier. Matthew moves on.

We get the ticket plug and continue into the second half.

Michael Mccormick, Come on Down!

IUFB #4: Encyclopedia set (Grolier Inc.)

Michael: $800
Rhiannon: $1000
Pilar: $900
Leonard: $1200

The buzzer sounds and tells us they have all overbid. Everyone needs to bid less than $800.

Michael: $675
Rhiannon: $750
Pilar: $700
Leonard: $400

There we go, the ARP is $695.

Michael is one and done, he makes his way to the turntable and can win a vacuum (Hoover Portapower stick vac), some crystal glassware (Davinci Crystal from RCR and Italy), and a trip to Cancun (6 night stay at the Omni Cancun Hotel).

Michael, you'll have to Make Your Move and slide these sliders to the correct price for each item. Vacuum is two digits, Crystalware three, and Cancun four.

2 3 7 2 7 0 6 4 0

Vacuum: $70
Crystal: $640
Cancun: $2372

Is that right? Yes he is, and he wins all three prizes.

Who's next, it's Rachel Sassoon, Come on Down!

IUFB #5: Range (Whirlpool gas range with self-cleaning oven, lift top splash guards, gold panel)

Rachel: $790
Rhiannon: $550
Pilar: $600
Leonard: $1000

ARP: $699

Pilar makes it to the stage just in time to see Hi Lo get rolled out. She needs to pick the three most expensive items out of this set.

Caress Moisturizing Body Wash
Shout Wipes (3 towelettes)
Bayer Aspirin (50 tablets)
Topol Whitening Toothpaste
Hefty One Zip Bags (15 gallon size bags)
Eggland's Best (1 dozen large)

If she can find the most expensive three out of that set, she will win a new dining room group (tapered leg table finish in honey fine) with Wilton Armetele dinnerware worth $5838.

Pilar starts with the Toothpaste which is worth $3.29.
Then she picks the Caress worth $3.44.
And lastly she picks the Aspirin worth $3.70.

So $3.29 is the low, and we'll see if she wins that dining room.

First, it's the Shout Wipes worth $1.99, good.
Then it's the Bags worth $2.09, better.
And lastly it's the Eggs worth $2.99, she did it. She wins that room.

Time for the last contestant of the day, and that is Catrina Campbell, Come on Down!

IUFB #6: Adult Trike (Worksman Cycle with extra wide saddle and large cargo basket)

Catrina: $400
Leonard: $300
Rachel: $350
Rhiannon: $450

ARP: $489

Leonard is stuck in the row after being there all show and Rhiannon (from Vista, CA) nabs the last pricing game of the day which just so happens to be for a new CAR.

The Ford Escort LX (Standard features with Equipment Package 317A, Automatic trans-axle tachometer, Tilt steering wheel, and California emissions).

She can win it in Card Game and she'll need to be $500 or less away from the price of that car. She'll have to pick cards from a standard deck of Card and what ever she picks (X $100) will be added to the price of the car, except Aces (which will be brought up if they are pulled).

We'll start with $8000.
Ace of Clubs (That was quick, she can make the ace any amount she wants and it will be added to the board).

She makes it $2500 for a total of $10500 and she goes on.

3 of Spades for $10800.
3 of Clubs for $11100.
8 of Diamonds for $11900.
5 of Hearts for $12400.

She stops there and the Actual Retail Price is $14355 and she is too far away from the price of the car, maybe she can change her luck on the Big Wheel.

Leonard, Rachel, and Catrina all take home a Jeep portable boombox and a Meineke gift card and an Impressions statue.

Rhiannon gets the first spin of this second showcase showdown. She will start with a  0.90 and she will keep it.

Michael is next and he'll start off with a $1.00 and he wins $1000!

Pilar has her work cut out for her and she starts with a 0.60 and she can't do it with a 0.50.

Michael takes his bonus spin. If he stops on the green $0.05 or $0.15, he'll win $5000. If he can manage to stop on that red $1.00 space again, he'll add $10000 to his total.

Round and Round it goes, where it stops, nobody knows. Once it slows down, we see that he's hit the $0.15 space and that's good for $5000 and a spot in the showcases!

Michael is the top winner, Matthew the runner-up in these showcases. Michael can decide if he'll want that first showcase or pass it to Michael and have him bid on it. If someone can make it within $100 of the retail price of their showcase, they'll win both showcases. On to showcase one:

Theme: Where Tired Models Fall Asleep

Chantal falls asleep on a Pool Table (Mahogany Golden West Billiards Pool Table with playing equipment).
Kathleen dozes off on a Treadmill (Schwinn Personal Trainer Treadmill with an easy to read LED readout and a 1.5 horsepower motor).
Janice gets comfy in her new Car (Ford Explorer Sport with Standard features, Automatic Transmission, Equipment Package 931A, Premium Sports Package, and California Emissions)

Michael bids $25,000.

Theme: Generic

Steam Capsule (aromaSpa)
Bedroom (Crawford of Jamestown with solid maple design with a Crown Crafts bedding ensemble and Englander velvet touch sleep set)
Party Boat (18' from Electrocraft with Surrey canopy, Upholstered seats, and Electric Propulsion Motor)

Matthew bids $19,500.

Alright, time to see who wins their showcase.

Michael bid $25,000, Actual Retail Price is $28,859. Difference of $3,859.
Matthew bid $19,500, Actual Retail Price is $23,781. Difference of $4,281.

It was close, but Michael wins it with a grand total of $38,636 and that will do it for me. Hope it was as good of a read as it was a show to watch. I'll see you around for the next recap. See you soon!
