I hadn't really thought about this before, but the reality of death means that every day there are less people in the world than the day before.  In reality there are many more people in the world than this but for illustration: If one day there are 1000 people in the world and the next day 55 people die, now there are 945 people in the world. if 30 more die the next day now there are 915 people in the world. So we'll eventually become extinct as will all creatures as the same reality applies to dogs, cats, horses etc.

Great Show today.
We're a 50/50 toss-up away from another perfect show.
That Setup in One Away was begging for a loss , not only Sarah won the Car , she nailed an Exacta to boot.
1st time since 5/30/13 when The One Away Setup started with 3 of the same number wrong.
Great win in Stack The Deck.

First show I've had a chance to watch closely in a few weeks, glad I did. Awesome show from top to bottom, everything was working. It's nice to see one where everything just works, y'know?

I had to look at this setup via Scorpz to see what you're getting at. The fake was 31833 then - I guess you meant first time since then there was three of the same number in a fake, which sounds plausible. I'm also wondering if this is the first time there were at least two 0s in an OA ARP - it's almost definitely the first xx0x0, the question is whether x0xx0 has happened.

Speaking of OA, since Steve just posted early this morning about last week's good show with it, I expect another Steve praise post in a week's time, as this OA and this show were both arguably even better. :P

It's a shame that a game with a fairly high winning percentage (Switch?) stood in the way of a perfect game. I usually hate it when designer accessories are involved, but this time it felt more like it was the contestant's fault and not the accessories given the listed prices in the game.

Great show though. Love that Stack The Deck was won. Never been a big fan of that game because of how hard it is, so it's nice to see it get conquered.

Yeah , that why I used the word 'started'

Starting with three of the same number would be a fake like 33356 or something. ???

EDIT: I get why this thread was edited, but I made a valid point I'm going to repost: the bathroom especially today was a blatant use of trying to get the prize "declined" to make a win on-air not cost anything in the budget. It's very dirty and really shouldn't be done at all.

Today's show was AWESOME!! Loved how one away and Stack the deck both got wins. Makes me mad that someone won stack the deck but not Switch? but oh well. Also, the contestant that played cliff hangers.], his wife knew the cliff hanger strategy and it worked out great!!

It probably depends on exactly what is included in the package.  While the price number sounds really high at first glance, there are companies out there that do remodels that cost in the $8-9,000 range just for a shower (these are the ones that come in and take out everything including walls and redo plumbing and everything, so basically a completely new shower, and do it all in one day).

So if it's something like that, plus a fancy toilet with replacement and such, if one gets the right contestant it might just be taken (figuring the tax costs would be only a % of that price, and probably not a lot of cost difference from a more standard remodel, and also assuming the contestant needs a new bathroom).

This. $26,000 sounds like a lot but houses are expensive, remodeling an entire brand new bathroom costs a lot of money even just a quick Google search shows minimum 5 digits almost every time. Sure, not every contestant may need their bathroom remodeled but to assume that 9 out of 10 would turn it down is a gross exaggeration in my opinion. Who knows what the contestants need or don't need or want or don't want in this case.

Who is really to say that contestant X would turn down a remodeled bathroom because of taxes but would have more than happily taken a new Mazda Miata (similarly priced, and offered to the same contestant) and paid for taxes on it? (Or any $26k+ car for that matter) Surely there are some contestants who already have nice enough cars and could use a remodeling job instead.

Most people don't use housekeeping funds on extra stuff for the bathroom. It's the last taping day of the season, a 20/33/40 setup, couldn't be any easier, and it was the biggest ARP of the day, more than both cars, which were set up for losses. The intent absolutely was a decline.

On a car you can take it then sell it for a profit. Bathroom... not so much.

Would you prefer that the show offer a bathroom without installation? That would end up declined even sooner.

What an excellent show.

Definitely should've been a perfect show with that easy Switch, but designer stuff can get to $3500 and I think today, you had a contestant and friends who don't realize that fridges can cost that much. What a shame.

One Away was great and Sarah was a great contestant, but she started pushing it with the laying on the car and crawling on the floor.

Wonderfully played Stack the Deck. Ellen was also such a great contestant and she knew what she was doing. Not even giving Drew a chance to say anything before correctly picking the right GP.

If the installation is so obscenely expensive, don't offer the bathroom at all. Most people buying houses just live with the bathrooms they have and don't install a damn thing, why spend a disproportionate amount of income on the bathroom of all places?

Have you ever owned a house for any significant length of time?  Kitchens and bathrooms are probably the most remodeled rooms in a house...  I, for one, would have *loved* this prize...
