Great show today - good contestants, good hosting from Drew (particularly the fakeout when revealing the car's price in More or Less), the lineup was good, and I loved the first showcase.

Some bad bids in Contestant's Row, but none of the games were played badly (it helps that Flip Flop and More or Less were really easy today) - I would have gone with 2 in Pick-a-Number as well (and most of us in the chat thought it was 2), and whilst I would have won Grand Game, I can see how she got tripped up by the eggs.

I know it's too early to judge, but I want to note that so far this season, the contestants have been making pretty smart bids on showcases - all 4 showcase contestants so far this season have made bids ending in numbers higher than 250.
I hadn't really thought about this before, but the reality of death means that every day there are less people in the world than the day before.  In reality there are many more people in the world than this but for illustration: If one day there are 1000 people in the world and the next day 55 people die, now there are 945 people in the world. if 30 more die the next day now there are 915 people in the world. So we'll eventually become extinct as will all creatures as the same reality applies to dogs, cats, horses etc.

Good Show today.
Excellent playing of Clock Game.
Love how they used Bean Stalker Remix during the 45th Anniversary Video.

Very tough Grand Game. Neither of the two items over $4.50 were obvious. The Oxi Clean stick could've been over $4.50 also, and even the pepperoni sticks might've been. The frosting and beets were the only two definites.

On the other hand, most of the other games were set up pretty easy. The TV was the only tricky prize in More or Less. Clock Game started out shaky, but having the one prize end in -50 definitely helped to make what could've been a loss into a very good playing.

Hey, Jay, this is Curtis and I'm new and all, but there's something I want to make sure I understand. For all the recaps this season, are you going to do them here on Golden-Road.net or are we going to have to go to qwizx to see them? Let me know what you're going to do and I think your math's wrong about the total given away because I calculated how today's episode went and while the price of the trip to Costa Rica won in Clock Game wasn't revealed, the total given away today $92,770+. Goodbye!

It took all of three halves for the show to get into budget mode.

I jest somewhat, but that Pa# setup was brutal, and Path was no cakewalk. They really have no idea how to do a premiere week budget-wise, although they're trying their hardest I suppose...

And yes, Jay will just be posting qwizx links.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

I didn't think PA# was the least bit brutal.

I do find it entertaining the two "hard" games the show's used so far have both been won.

It was really unfair to try to price two prizes that could completely stand on their own.

I'll be linking to my site and, yes, I missed the $1,000 bonus. It's been added in now. Thanks for catching that.
