(And no, I'm not talking about the upcoming MLB drought being over for one team tonight.)

Interesting.

It's about time someone hit on a -5xx bid. 000-250 will limit DSWs, but not to the point of just 1 a year.
S5x... the show's stabilized into something decent now, I guess...

Apparently we can't handle discussion besides parroting the occurrence of a DSW, but I will try anyway.

How rough of a season has Pocket Change had so far? Contestants required perfect pricing these past two playings, and I hope that will not lead to an increase in playings; I think once every three weeks or so fits the game fine.

I also felt Grand Game had a particularly easy setup today.
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

Honestly, I've felt that every show since last week has been filled with really easy setups. I'm not sure why, but I hope they'll keep it up for a bit longer. (I know this pertains to yesterday's show, but I find it funny that Vend got its easiest setup in a while IMO on a car playing)

I did the math out of curiosity, and about 47% (31/66) of all showcase bids so far this season have had endings other than -000. Seems like contestants are finally catching up to Mike on ARP endings, which will hopefully produce more DSWs.

Also, it really irks me that Secret "X" has already been played 3 times this season, while Bonus Game hasn't been played at all. I hope Hot Seat isn't stealing playings from it.
I hadn't really thought about this before, but the reality of death means that every day there are less people in the world than the day before.  In reality there are many more people in the world than this but for illustration: If one day there are 1000 people in the world and the next day 55 people die, now there are 945 people in the world. if 30 more die the next day now there are 915 people in the world. So we'll eventually become extinct as will all creatures as the same reality applies to dogs, cats, horses etc.

The bells never went off when Sharon won 1 Wrøng Price.  It sounded much weirder than I'd have expected it would.

Speaking of weird, Cover Up played out very strangely today.  I'd like to think that Michael was trying to use the strategy, but it's more likely that he just plain overpriced the (first) car he eventually won by about $7,000.

Michelle didn't seem to me to be all there.  She appeared to forget how tic-tac-toe works during Secret "X", looked surprised that the audience wanted her to spin again on 55, and then seemed to be trying to tell Drew she wasn't over even though she was.  Maybe it was just the shock of being on television, but her entire time onstage was one odd little moment after another.

If you're going to break a year-long drought of double showcase wins, it's hard to think of a better way to do it than by having one contestant win three cars.

Honestly, I've felt that every show since last week has been filled with really easy setups.

Neither car game in this episode was meant to be won. And while Grand Game wasn't impossible, I think they were counting on most people assuming that body wash is more expensive than coffee creamer.

What I will be interested to see is what happens to the setups on non-special episodes which taped after August 25.

That was a huge thing of coffee creamer though so it was pretty certain that it was going to be over the target price. I do agree that neither car game was set up particularly friendly, especially Pocket Change.
