On this date 30 years ago.................................

It was 30 years ago today that the Toronto Blue Jays played their first ever game in Major League Baseball. They defeated the Chicago White Sox 9-5 at the old Exhibition Stadium on that day. Happy 30th anniversary, Jays. Here's to many more years of great baseball in Toronto.

Toronto is a great town.  I recall being at SkyDome in its 3rd or 4th year, and being there for the first time ever they had a close the dome during a game when a wild storm rolled in.  This would have been about '93 or so, although as a Philly fan, I have bad memories about the end of that season....

....curse you Joe Carter!

Sorry Sideshow, I thought Game 6 of the '93 Series was the best.

I have to say that the Jays seem to have a very good team this year. They have a good chance at the World Series, although it's very very very early, still!

It sucks for me though, because this year, I sort of have a renewed interest in baseball. I just wish it would have happened before the Expos' left Montreal ...

Well ... as long as I'm wishing for things, I wish the Expos were STILL in Montreal ...
