She had a unique sense of humor and was an ideal foil to Match Gane's zaniness.

RIP, Patti.

So sad to hear about Patti Deutsch.  My condolences to the Ross family.  But the one thing that I remember about her on Match Game is that for the most part she would give crazy, way out there answers that no contestants would ever think of saying.  It was like she was there to be witty, instead of actually matching the contestants.  But her printing was impeccable.  She was probably my least favorite semi regular.

Longtime Walt Disney Imagineering head Marty Sklar has passed on from yet undisclosed causes; he was 83.  More than a few of the best Disney theme park rides were developed under Sklar's tutelage:

About June Foray, she was one of, if not the best voice actresses ever to exist. She's done it all. Rocky and Granny were her two longest-running roles. Only someone just as good as her can fill her shoes and take on these roles.

Also, just out of curiosity, has anyone seen the documentary film "I Know That Voice," where people who work in animation and voiceover talk about what it's like? June has a few moments in the film, and even takes a few minutes to talk about Mel Blanc.

You knew this death was coming, but when it happens to singers and entertainers like this it is still with great sadness and shock.

He is free of all that ails him and in a much better place. The songs he leaves behind will always be enjoyed.

RIP.

Brian

Darren Daulton has died at the age of 55. You may remember him as the catcher for the 1993 Phillies team that went all the way to the World Series and lost in six games, but he redeemed himself in the end by winning one with the Marlins in '97.

It's been a few days since it happened, but I haven't seen it listed here, so...

Haruo Nakajima, the first man to play Godzilla (from the original 1954 film to 1972's "Godzilla vs. Gigan") has passed away at age 88 from pneumonia complications. In addition to Godzilla, Nakajima also played various other monsters in Toho Company's "Golden age" (1954-75) sci-fi films like Rodan and King Kong.

It's a thread of its own, but we can't forget Bruce Forsyth, who died at 89 two days ago...

Now this is what the other moderators mean by posting just to post. You know there's another thread about the topic which you posted on several days ago, so why are you adding on here? Large post counts don't mean jack unless there's quality with the posts.
