Swedish actor Michael Nyqvist from the movie John Wick has died at age 56 from lung cancer.

He was excellent as Mikael Blomkvist in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo movies.   RIP, Michael.

In addition to losing 27 straight games for the Mets in two seasons (1992 and '93), he also had the misfortune of playing for the Cubs, though their current status as defending World Champions now makes that point moot.

I know it's a bit early to add this, but if anyone isn't aware, Stefan Karl, Robbie Rotten himself, is in his final days. He's been battling cancer, and it's in the final stages right now. No one knows when he'll die, but it will definitely be soon... :(

Paddington Bear's creator Michael Bond has passed on at age 91.  This is particularly sad for me, as I great enjoyed the Paddington series and its various TV spinoffs as a child (even if the specifically British moments went over the head of American me as a child; case in point, the time Paddington played cricket, and I was just as confused as he was over how the game was supposed to be played and why it was supposed to be important that the silly mid off had a short leg):

Smith Hart, oldest of the 12 Hart siblings of wrestling's most famous family, has passed on at 68.  While not as successful as Bret or Owen, he put together a reasonably good career in the ring himself in Stampede and other promotions:

Unfortunate to hear about Smith Hart.  I remember reading in Bret's autobiography that there was in time very early in Bret's career where he and Smith went on the road together.

Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park (and briefly of the Stone Temple Pilots), has reportedly committed suicide by hanging. He was 41.

I hadn't really thought about this before, but the reality of death means that every day there are less people in the world than the day before.  In reality there are many more people in the world than this but for illustration: If one day there are 1000 people in the world and the next day 55 people die, now there are 945 people in the world. if 30 more die the next day now there are 915 people in the world. So we'll eventually become extinct as will all creatures as the same reality applies to dogs, cats, horses etc.

Well, here's an avatar I'm surprised I even had on this computer.  Haven't used this in years, but it seems fitting now.  I probably watched this video a hundred times in college.
