Due to President-elect Trump's press conference on January 11, instead of airing a new episode,  CBS subbed a rerun from earlier this season at the last minute. One nice thing about it is, the episode actually had its original end credits aired instead of the usual promos CBS runs for upcoming shows with the credits running on the bottom of the screen.

The credits you'd see at the end of each episode before CBS started split screening them to run them while also airing promos for upcoming shows.

Sort of surprising that they haven't thought about going ahead and airing it on the West Coast (since only the East was pre-empted).  Then they could have re-run it one of the days in March with the NCAA where the East would see it but not the West...

I wish they'd bring back the full credits...Years ago, (late 70s/early 80s) I even recall Johnny Olson announcing, "Stay tuned for 'Search for Tomorrow' over most of these CBS stations" as the credits were rolling...Of course back then, most affiliates didn't air 12pm local newscasts like today...

Welcome back, Pocket ¢hange!

When the $2.00 card was revealed I wanted to go see which slot it had been hiding in. After all, when the card shows up once in the past four seasons they've done a pretty good job keeping it protected.

But there was some weird camera work when Nikki went to go select that last card. Every other choice she made used the jib to watch her choose an envelope and give it to Drew. But the for last one, the minute she leaves her spot there's a weird cut to the clapping audience and then a side angle. The only way you can see which one she picked is to compare the before-and-after shots of the board.

For the record, it was the highest card to the left of the display. That slot was selected earlier this season and did not have the $2.00 card, so it appears to be staying mobile.

To be a little off topic: How much power does the vane display use compared to the Eggcrate displays used in some games?

Not sure but it may have to do with how they're powered. The vane displays are electromagnetic and controlled by seven-segment flippers while the eggcrates are composed of individual lights.

Since the vane display uses electromagnets, I'm assuming that the Eggcrate display uses less electricity, but Eggcrate displays are capable of flashing for a win, so my assumption could be wrong.

I believe that vane displays only needs power to change the pieces that make up the digits, right?  I wouldn't think that would require a whole lot of energy.
