2017 MLB Season
« on: April 02, 2017, 05:23:20 PM »
The Yankees start the season in dubious fashion. They have now lost six straight season openers. What that entails for the rest of the season is obviously up in the air. The Cubs, meanwhile, are the 4:1 favorite to repeat as World champs.

Go Red Sox!

EDITED by Steve to remove 171 of the 172 exclamation points.  This does not make you look excited; it makes you look ridiculous.

And MadBum's achievement's mean absolutely nothing as the Giants bullpen picks up where they left off last year.

Atlanta the Mets are scoreless after three. Vegas has Atlanta's odds of winning the World Series at 171:1.

Let's go Indians! If the Cavs could get their redemption in last year's NBA Finals, why can't the Tribe in the World Series?

Go Red Sox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have been warned about excessive exclamation points in the past. 172 of these are not needed.

I will leave it to the higher staff to dole out an appropriate punishment.

It will be interesting to see how the rule changes will benefit the players, coaches, and managers... I guess in a way to speed up the game

Not sure what is going on with the Blue Jays. They are 1-9 to start the season, and show no signs of turning it around anytime soon.  8-O

The Braves christen SunTrust Park with a 5-2 win over the Padres and (disband the team😉) are riding a two-game winning streak.

Finally the Jays snap their 7 game losing streak with a walk-off home run. Still 2-9 to start the season but it is still early.

CB Bucknor is proof that the MLB does not supervise their umpires no matter how much they say it.

Bryce Harper, the Braves killer, maintains his ad hoc title. A grand slam (one of two the Nationals hit last night) and 5 RBIs.
