The hot topic this week is racism in Boston, as Adam Jones is the target of slurs, and a fan is ejected permanently from Fenway Park for his actions.

Kevin Gausman's second inning pitch to Manny Macado gets away from him but still got him ejected. It's getting ugly in Beantown...

The Braves send P Matt Wisler to AAA Gwinnett after a terrible outing from the bullpen last night against the Mets, who won 16-5.

And apparently Sam Holbrook doesn't like Adam Jones either, ejecting him last night over balls and strikes.

Braves pitcher Mike Foltynewicz can't buy a break. He's pitched great in his last three decisions but hasn't gotten any run support. Last night he simply imploded against St. Louis. AAA Gwinnett may be in his future.

Can Trudeau ban Vic Carapazza from Canada? This is insane.

Freddie Freeman (1B, Atlanta) is out at least eight weeks with a fractured wrist after getting hit by a pitch against Toronto Wednesday night.

This is Tyler Pill's first game and already he's an enemy in Pittsburgh for hitting Andrew McCutchen.

The Dodgers have shut out the Cubs in back-to-back games, and Kershaw recorded his 2,000th strikeout in the second game.

The good news for the Braves is that they are now in second place in the NL East. The bad news is that with the exception of Washington, the NL East is a dumpster fire.

Hunter Strickland hits and fights Bryce Harper over getting owned by him two and a half years ago. Okay, I don't like Harper either but isn't that a little extreme?

The Blue Jays have crawled back into the race for the AL East and Wild Card spots, as they are now 26-27, just one game shy of .500 after their latest win earlier this afternoon.

On Yordano Ventura's birthday no less (which he marked on social media earlier that day) and dedicated the game to both him and Jose Fernandez.

Bartolo Colon's ERA gets bigger with every appearance he makes. The Braves need to cut bait with him or he should retire. He's now a liability.

Didn't mention it last night, but in addition to the no-no. Seven grand slams were hit on Saturday, a record for one day in the MLB.

One of those grand slams (the 6th of 7) was hit by Albert Pujols for HR #600, making him the ninth person to reach that mark.

What a day in baseball.
