Holy crap!

Speaking as someone who's lived in the Nashville area his entire life, I can tell you the Preds, while growing in popularity, have never been at the top of the sports food chain here.  Even I'm not that much of a hockey fan, nor have I really kept up with their season this year.  This playoff run has completely changed a lot of people's perspectives of both the Predators and the sport itself.  I don't know if the Preds will pull it off or end up like the Titans did in Super Bowl XXXIV coming one yard short of winning, but there is a buzz of excitement right now in these parts that hasn't been felt in quite a long time, and it's a good feeling.

Go Preds!
One yard short (and an extra point) of tying the game, not winning it.

I sure hope the Sens topple Pittsburgh as I hate the Pens.

I couldn't agree with you more - they really have been underdogs all playoff season long and hopefully they will finally break their game 7 curse. Maybe if they win they could be the favorites in the final for a change?

:( 24 years and counting... I guess the NHL will get the ratings they deserve now in the US.

Well, down to the final two teams:

Pittsburgh vs. Nashville

Place your prediction on who wins it all.

Well, they technically still have it.  In reality they don't but are still the champs.  Either way it should be a great series, over in 6 or 7.  IMO, no sweep especially if Pittsburgh only manages a dozen SOG.  Nashville is not losing 3 more games that way (unless they're worse). Likewise, Pittsburgh probably improves; Nashville was spotted 3 days over a team that came off of their second consecutive 7-game series, both full of emotion (and injuries)

Well, the three goals in the third period made the difference in game 2 as the Predators lose again, 4-1. Here's hope they will turn it around at their home arena come Saturday night in game 3.

They won in a big way, beating the Penguins 5-1, and the deficit is now 2-1.
