7942K - 05/18/17 Recap Thread (Dream Car Week - Day 4)
« on: May 18, 2017, 11:58:50 AM »
PUSH OVER* - W (2:46.93)
SWAP MEET - L (3:58.74)
PASS THE BUCK - W (5:34.83)
BONKERS - L (4:03.94)
MONEY GAME - PL (3:25.89)
CLIFF HANGERS - W (4:18.82)

Pass the Buck featured different cash distributions - $10,000, $15,000 and $20,000 - but they ended up moot since the contestant picked the Maserati on the first of her three picks.
Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

Pass the Buck could've had quite the haul with the possibility of winning the car plus $35,000, although I'm not sure how many would've risked $35,000 for one more pick. The GPs were quite easy today too.

Swap Meet was much more difficult than usual today. The accessories weren't as much as I thought they'd be and it really was a toss-up between all three of the other prizes.

Pretty Good Show.
Another Good Game Lineup.
I see they Played Gas Mo........ , I mean Pass the Buck , lol.
Both Pushover and Pass the Buck set records for the Biggest Prize offered and won in each game.

I also noticed ( Based on Episode Number ) why this Episode was shown today.
I think the show didn't want Back-To-Back Aired Dream Car Winners.

I would have chosen "12" right away (first pick for last two numbers) in Money Game.

Pass The Buck! One of my favorite games! Three picks earned! I was hoping for a lot more suspense, but congrats to the contestant on the record-setting win. :)

I give up. I am just going to pull the number of 24515 from the Accord Sedan LX Sport base package from the website. I honestly am not willing to stretch it.

Thursday:
Won: $125,637
Offered:$149,449

Up to Thursday:
Won: $382,494
Offered:$844,565
"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

-Drew Carey, interview with Athletic, September 16, 2020

"I honestly thought the doubler was gone, but 9821 going $0 makes sense"

My guess is that they were hoping if the car was picked first, they would get greedy and try to get cash as well. I mean, it's a Maserati.

You're probably wondering why I'm popping my head in here. Largely because of homeslice, Ryan.
