Hopefully they could get this thing together in time for the Christmas shopping season, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Alright, before I begin let me just say that everything I say is more or less sarcasm. Thanks for understanding.

'...The shows may be badly chopped up not including any shots of any of the models, no KFC plugs, no Fur Coats...'

The reason you say that is because Bob DOES hate Janice, Dian, Holly, Anitra, and all the other old models. He also hates KFC (although I have no idea why), and the fact that he gave away furs.

He also hates Dennis James and Doug Davidson, as well as his three Syndicated years and Bill Cullen, but he doesn't have veto power over whatever 1956-1965 episodes exist.

The James Nighttime episodes haven't been aired for over 30 years, which I consider to be a prison sentence.

I STILL think Bob had a grudge against Dennis, as only one episode James hosted aired on GSN (it was a Daytime show!)

'...Or worse we may be stuck with a DVD box set of nothing but Bill Cullen and Doug Davison shows.'

#1) Okay, a Bill Cullen-era box set might not be a bad thing (The 'All That Exists' Collection). Oh, yes...don't make fun of Uncle Bill, okay?

#2) I thought Doug didn't do too bad of a job, personally.

Okay, I'm done. Hopefully this box set DOES come out by Christmas!

Hey, don't forget about Mark Kriski, even though his was only a pilot.  I'd still like to see that one.  Maybe if Mark had stayed on, the '94 Price Is Right would have lasted longer.

A periodic check of BCI's web site ought to provide notice once the company sets a release date.

To the best of my knowledge, Bob has no issues with Anitra, Gena, Chantel, or Heather.

Looks like we'll have to wait until 2008 to see Price on DVD.  BCI is releasing Family Feud first.  Look on tvshowsondvd.com for details.

According to Cliff MacMillan, who works for BCI as well, TPIR was talked about too early.  He has gone to the GSN boards to get suggestions for the Family Feud release.  All star Family Feud will be released in November 2007 and Best of civilian Family Feud will be released in early 2008.  Here's the link to the GSN thread, if you wanna read the suggestions and to see what cliff says.

how about the on air auditions for johnny olsen's  replacement. i haven't seen any of these episodes, but i have heard about them, just like professor price, and the shower game.
all of this can be yours, if you can afford it.

Did we talk about opening slates yet? The one on You Tube for #125N is pretty funny.

"how about the on air auditions for johnny olsen's replacement..."

Ok, no offense to anyone, but I've seen this spelled incorrectly enough lately to where I have to say something...because...it just bothers me. Johnny's last name does not have an "E" in it, folks.  It's Johnny OLSON.

And they're not looking for suggestions of what to include in the set at this point, anyway.  All that's being accomplished in this thread at this point is randomly naming episodes.

I have a pretty good mnemonic for remembering Johnny's surname: the two 'o's in OLSON form his glasses.

Okay, I've finally gotten a chance to do some research, so

I think I’ll try to help out a bit here:

First for our friend, Barrett:

Close Finish - $29 vs. $30 showcase

This one was taped in March ’75.  Bob made reference to Friday’s show, so this was probably a Monday show, meaning the prod. # would be 13x1D.

I’d also like to say that Mr. City has a show from 1973 with a $325 vs $324 difference.  I can’t say when it aired.

Ruphina 'Rug Expert' & Do It Yourself Showcase

Taped in April ’75.

Pauline Episode

I don't know which episode Pauline's Grand Game is, but it wasn't in Season 8 -- Grand Game wasn't won until Season 9.

Whoa, didn’t know that.  I guess we’re stuck.

But the premiere aired May 16, 1980, # 3685-D.

Clock Game Betty

If I heard the clip right, Betty herself said it was going to air December 14, 1983, but it was changed to later.  The timeline indicates no reschedulings, so I’m not sure.  The production number COULD be 5123D.

Ailene Faints

This was definitely from 1977, I’m thinking November or December.  I say that because I believe Bob asked a contest around that point if they remembered this recent show.

Janice and Amanda freezer blooper

It had the ’76 music cues, so it probably aired in February ’76 at earliest.  But the clip was reshown in the Janice Strife showcase from May or June ’76.  We have it down to a few months, at least.

First Christmas Episode

That’s most likely one of the three shows where Dennis James filled in for Bob, #1213D, aired December 25, 1974.
