"Ailene Faints

This was definitely from 1977, I’m thinking November or December."

I don't think it's that late is it?  I've seen replays on CBS with "1976" superimposed on the bottom of the screen.

I think that was the same set of replays that listed Pauline's show as being from 1979, and we know better than that.  ;-)

So it really was late '77 then?  That surprises me.

Well, according to the graphic on the 20th anniversay special.  And the show has that 1977 "feel" to it if you know what I mean.

But I didn't know they'd put 1976 and 1979 for Pauline. Who knows...

Also, I've combed through so many pages of requests I've forgotten what's been said, and I'm not sure if these requests are too late to be considered, but I don't remember anyone requesting the Ethel hayloft show or the Darlene kiss show.

I know very little about either, just that the Ethel show aired in 1984 and the Darlene show aired between June and December 1973.

I think in either 1973 or 4, they did a home viewer showcase similar to what was done regularly on the Cullen version.  I believe it ran as part of the show for several days or a full week, so I'd love to see one of those -- but since a fur was one of the prizes, it won't happen.  Too bad about the fur ban ... I used to love it when they showed them up in the audience clearing (where they have folding chairs now and the Christmas tree up for bids on the holiday is displayed).

Like many others, I'd like to see the Dennis James version again and any show with CBS cross-promotion (like Jack Narz's appearance promoting Now You See It in 1974).

Maybe special dvd set featuring the first appearance of each of the current pricing games?  That would certainly run the gamut of TPIR history and provide a nice cross-section of shows.

I think it's probably too late to be requesting shows, but good job requesting shows that aren't just the same ones we've been seeing on the clip montages for the last fifteen years!
I'm still hoping this DVD set will show us lots of things we've never seen before.

Is there any update as to when we can see this muchly anticipated DVD to be released? I simply CANNOT WAIT!!!! It's hard to believe it's taken this long for it to be brought up by DVD release companies.

I am anticipating an update as well, PriceFan14, but it is very impolite around here to bump threads that haven't had a reply in more than thirty days.

They're not taking any more suggestions.  They haven't been for about two months.

I'd love to have the episode where in the Showcase Showdown, a guy named Jose tries to bid 250,000 in his showcase, but changes his mind after boos from the audience and makes it $60,000. The man's opponent, a woman named Gay, bids $1. That $1 showcase bid was Priceless, in my mind.

I'd loved to have the first episode from 1972, but that won't happen, thanks to Bob's fur ban.
