A new Plinko record set!

The young man named Ryan on yesterday's show took the big board for $31,500!  A huge win by Plinko's standards, almost as rare as Halley's comet.  I think the last time regulation Plinko was won for over $30,000 daytime, Pluto was still considered a planet.

It's pretty surprising that a $30,000+ win in regulation daytime Plinko has only happened twice and never with Bob as host, but then again how often did contestants win $15,000+ in the days of the $5,000 center slot?

Well, someone has gotten 4 in the center slot (when it was $5K!). Ryan was an LFAT. If you go to TPiR's Facebook page, he Went to George's podium during break and not only recited part of the opening spiel, he also recited the Ticket plug and spay/neuter plug! It was fantastic!

Technically it's still a loss, since the stated top dollar amount ($50,000) was not won.

I think the last time regulation Plinko was won for over $30,000 daytime, Pluto was still considered a planet.

Actually , Pluto Became a Dwarf Planet in 2006.
The only other time $30,000+ was won ( With the $10,000 Center Slot ) was in 2007.

I was almost as excited as Ryan was watching him win.  This was the kind of contestant I really wanted to see break the bank in Plinko.  Ryan's $31,500.00 performance is the second closest to Plinko perfection I've ever seen.  The first was the $21,000.00 win mentioned above which happened in mid-late Season 19, (I remember seeing the rerun of it in July or August of 1991) and it was one of the last playings with the old "Pez Candy" color scheme.
