Torgo has left the building. John and I never really cared for the way he presented himself.

The Car Win-less Streak in Pricing Games continues ( 8 Straight Shows , 18 Straight Car Games )
Magic Number was a bit harder than usual due to the Closer Spread.

Hey, Key and Tempty together! Now all we need is Hole and then I can stop complaining!

Can we just get a 50-50 for a car to end the streak?

"If any show, forget sports, Price is Right, [the audience is] the star of the show. Somebody... coming on down and losing their minds, and ... crying, that's the show. The show isn't me, the show isn't necessarily [a] can of soup, how much that is, it's watching people go bananas, and there's going to be some of that missing."

All this hair-pulling over the lack of car giveaways is absolutely laughable. If you're salivating every time you hear the winners bell, perhaps it's time to step away from Dr. Pavlov.

That was a pretty good show today. Not great, but it was solid and I had fun watching it.

I always respect someone who bails out in Temptation. It's a tough game even when set up as mercifully as possible, since at least a few of the numbers are going to be coinflips. I feel like the contestant today picked up on that and made her choice.

I like Magic # as a game, yet people struggle with it. I wonder why?  It seems like such an easy premise to me and it's usually set up nicely.

Most contestants are unwilling to go up to a very high number Archviler. In recent years they've gone up high enough to get just over the price of the lower priced item but they almost always don't go up near the more expensive prize price.

Pretty mean Hi Lo. The fabric softener was begging to be the third item chosen with the Allegra and coffee rather than the barbecue sauce.

Not really, Jay.  Purex is one of the cheapest brands of detergents on the market.  And that Tony Roma's Barbeque Sauce was 42 Ounces, so I did not think it was that difficult.

Great combination of games. Not really the normal games which I loved. I'd love to see shell game make a visit soon

Still, the average contestant unless they have recently bought both of the items to choose between is going to pick laundry product over barbecue sauce as the more expensive item. It was a trap setup.

The Hi-Lo setup was my no means impossible.  I picked up on the Purex being on the Lo row because I buy it all the time, and barbeque sauce especially from national chains tends to be on the more expensive side, especially for the 42oz size.  The sizes of the grocery items are always important.  One trick I can remember quite a bit in my years of watching the show would be to have a smaller supply of a medical product that therefore would have a deceptively lower price than normal.  Nonwithstanding, I remember some truly brutal Hi-Lo setups from back in the late 80s/early 90s where there would be a <$0.25 spread between the highest price product on the Lo row and the lowest priced item on the Hi row.
