Buffalo getting in is surprising. That’s good news for upstate NY and the Toronto-Hamilton area, but I doubt they go anywhere. The team looks so weak especially on offense.

San Francisco 49ers will be a hot pick for next year.

It sounds like Cincinnati is retaining Marvin Lewis for two more years.  Stupidity knows no bounds...

:  Think about where the Bengals were before Lewis came to Paul Brown Stadium.  14 year playoff drought, including basement of the league for a few of those years.  In spite of his winless playoff record, Marvin Lewis has the third-highest winning percentage of all Cincinnati Bengals coaches over a 15 year tenure.  The two ahead of him, Forrest Gregg and Bill Johnson benefited from only have tenures of 3-4 years and Gregg also coached through a strike year in 1982.  If I were Mike Brown, I'd retain Lewis.

Marvin Lewis is the current Jeff Fisher. That’s not a good thing. Mike Brown has shown time and time again how cheap he is by not searching for a new coach, among other things. Bengals will probably be around 6-10 or 7-9 next year, with zero discipline.

Wow, and if it wasn't for that inadvertent whistle in the 2nd quarter when it should have been a fumble, the Chiefs would have won. They may have to look at changing the rule next season to allow instant replay on it which at the moment, it is not reviewable.

The box score for Tennessee’s first touchdown reads exactly the way I figured: “Marcus Mariota 6 yd touchdown pass from Marcus Mariota.”

Jacksonville moves on. Nathan Peterman came in for Buffalo at the very end and did what he does best: throw an interception.

Credit Jalen Ramsey though. Stepped in and just made a play on the ball.

So all four of the visiting teams in their respective conferences come from the same division (South); is this the first time that has happened?

Quite possible. It is true that Atlanta is the only NFC team from last year to return to the postseason.

Eagles advance to the championship game. Atlanta scores 10 points in the first half and then required the Heimlich maneuver in the second half. The last play from the Eagles 2 told the tale.
